Bug bite is huge and painful?

hi, I have what looked like a zit on my chin line almost a week ago. now it is the size of a large marble, has no head, is peeling, hard as a rock and hurts to the touch. any idea what his can be?

sounds like a boil...maybe from a in-grown hair...try to keep your fingers off it as much as possible...clean with peroxide and put anti-cream on it ..johnson_johnson (not sure what they make where you live) if its hot to the touch you have a fever in it..take some tylenol too..hope you feel better soon..

It sounds like you've been bitten by a black fly, happened to me about a month ago, and my mark has gotten MUCH smaller but is still there. What you need to do is rub so hydrocortisone cream on the bit, and use an ice pack to try and bring down the swelling. Crushing up an asprin and mixing it with a little bit of water (just enough to make a paste) may help you too. The ice won't work on the swelling instantly, I had to sleep on the ice pack for 2 nights before even the slightest reduction was noticable. The bites suck, but once they start getting better you'll forget it's even there.
If you don't start to see a change in the size of the bite, or the redness in a week or so, call your doctor and see what he says. Hope this helps!
