Blood in stool part 2?

Thanks everyone for your help. The bleeding stopped entirely after that one instance. My only concerns... my stool lately hasn't been very hard, for lack of a better word it's been mushy but still solid. On my birthday last September, I had terrible stomach pains after having a movement where blood was again in my stool- that lasted for about 2 days. I went to the doctor for it, considering the intensity of the pain mostly. I had an expensive scan done, as well as a doctor's, err, "hands on" examination (quite embarassing).He said it was nothing, that the color of the blood indicated it was a lower rectal condition. He did a few tests, said everything was a-okay and was prob. just diharea (sp?). That's my main worry, that is happened again. Last time it was my stool that was bloody, this time it was "clean" but with blood that seemed to have been built up, since it all came out after the movement.Any more ideas? Thanks so much, everyone, for your help.

This type of condition should not return again and again. You should go for extensive test to know if its some specific disease like IBD.

I had this happen after getting what I believe to be food poisoning from a local starbucks. It lasted about a week or so and I think it was just related to the long duration combined with stress. Blood can be found for a number of reasons including ulcers, etc.
