Bruised thumb?

Well i bruised my thumb abut 3 weeks ago, no pains persist but inside my thumbnail it looks to be purple.
Now can anyone tell me how long it will take for the purple under my thumbnail to diminish? ( pretty sure it is dead blood )thanks in advance

Depending on how badly you bruised it and if the bruise is right up under the nail it may not go away until that part of the nail grows out.

Probably a little while longer, I dropped a soda can on my toe, and it didn't go away for a while, if you start to feel pressure under it and the blood starts spreading you need to get to the doctor quickly!

it all depands on how hard you hurt it but it should lighten in 2 weeks should be gone in about 4

I stubbed my pikie toe on new years and it did the same thing and its STILL there. it can take quite a while.

It all depends on your age. As a person ages it takes longer to heal. I suppose three weeks. I really don't know. I just know age is a factor on healing.
