Can I take more than 2 Tylenol PM? I still can't sleep only taking 2!?

Answer:
i strongly suggest valerian root. it's great at relieving stress and tension! you can get it over the counter and it's a great sleep aid! if you have one of those "racing minds" or "i can't turn my head off no matter how tired i am" then this will definitely help. you can find at your local grocery store in the pharmacy or herbal remedy section. start off taking 500-1000mgs, 30-45 minutes before you go to bed. now you can get this stuff in capsule form and it's 100% safe (my whole family has been taking it for years and our family doctor actually recommended it) however the only downside is that the more potent the brand your taking the stronger the smell. and this stuff smells AWFUL! but it's worth it. within 5-7 days you should notice a definite change in your sleep. WARNING! i strongly do not suggest that you take Tylenol PM and booze, in any form or combination. the main ingredient in Tylenol PM and Advil pm, or benadryl for that matter is diphenhydramine. here's what happens when you take it:
You can walk into a drugstore and choose from an array of sleep aids, offered without prescription. The main ingredient of over-the-counter sleeping pills is an antihistamine. Antihistamines are generally taken for allergies, but also make you feel very sleepy. Common over-the-counter sleep medications are Sleep-Eze, Sominex, Nytol, and Unison; they contain antihistamines such as:diphenhydramine hydrochloride,
diphenhydramine citrate, or
doxylamine succinate.
In general, over-the-counter sleep medications are not a good choice because they:Are not intended for long-term use.
Interfere with mental alertness during the day, so you should avoid driving and other similar tasks. You may also be at risk for falling asleep
Reduce the quality of your sleep by reducing time you spend in deep sleep.
Use over-the-counter sleep medications only for transient or short-term insomnia and in conjunction with changes to your sleeping habits. Be sure to pay attention to your body鈥檚 physical response to these sleep medications.i hope this helps!
I wouldn't if I were you. The problem with taking more than the recommended dosage is that it can cause liver damage.I would suggest trying something like Unisom and seeing if that helped.
Nyqil night time works way better
I take 3
Take a benedryl-that's in the tylenol pm to help you sleep. If you don't need the pain medicine, just try benedryl.Tylenol is hard on your liver.
Tylenol PM is tylenol and an antihystamine. I would recommend try 15 minutes of excersize before bed- even if it's right in your bedroom and you're just doing some crunches. If you've been using tylenol a lot you may want to switch. Try no tylanol and take 2 advil. They are both muscle relaxers, but made of different ingredients. Try not to take them together, and eat a little something with the advil. Maybe a glass of milk.
Hey!! Take 2 tylenol doesn't mean that it will help you to sleep(or it doesn't mean it didn't have effect if you don't sleep). 2 Tylenol is the optimum dose for the adult which the drug manufacturer has already calculated for that! Anyway, you should get some advice from pharmacist or the doctor if you felt like, there's something wrong after you take it. But you shouldn't take acetaminophen for along time because it provides toxicity to your liver!

Can I take an advil if i just took an aleve about an hour ago?

Answer:
NO! Both are of the same nature and go through the liver. You could do damage to your liver. Tylenol is an alternative. Some doctors say you can alternate Tylenol and Advil every 2-3 hours. You should call a pharmacist or your doctor to be sure, especially if you are on other meds.
Yes, you can even take 2.
no
I wouldnt' advise it--some pills actually counter each other, so you would either make yourself sicker or just knock yourself out. But, it may be alright if you take one Advil and then one Aleve.
no
NoThey are both anti-inflammatories of the same family. If you can normally take tylenol, then that can be taken with either.
you shouldn't unless the DR tell You it is ok But you can alternate acdminifin every 2 hours with the ibuprophin.
Asprin and advil(aleve)

Can I sleep?

I'm in leg casts on both legs from the end of my hips to just before my toes. I can roll on my side and back but that's it. I can't bend my knees obviously and luckily I only have 4 more days before the casts come off. But It's really hard to sleep in the rental bed, I can't change the arrangements and my movement is limited, are there any other tips to fall asleep? Ex. Thinking of a particular thing? IDK. Thanks!
Answer:

Can i refuse to work with a colleague who has body odour?

Answer:
You can, but I'd get someone else involved, contact your H.R department for advice on how to handle the situation.
No, but you can bring in an air freshner and keep spraying the office to mask the stench. You need to be more tolerant of other people (as it may be an underlying medical condition with your colleague) and who knows, he/she may get the hint if you keep spraying the office space that you share.
You can ask to assigned someone else but no you cannot refuse to work with them. It could be a medical condition causing the BO. Have you supervisor talk to the person about it and let them know they think there may be a problem and suggest the see a doc to get it checked out.
well in the uk it is a health and safety issue.. tell ur manager they do have to do something
You can, but it's a matter of whether you can without jeopardising your job. Have a word with your Human Resources person - or is it them that smells?!
no but you can sue
no really you can
Doubt it. Get a life and worry about the more important things in the world.
well you can but you could get fired lol just ask him politly if he wouldnt mind puttin deoderant on or taking a shower
U can resign
every dog smells his own *** first.
Some people have medical conditions which attribute to this so be sensitive in your judgement as it might not be due to lack of personal hygiene. If you can avoid confrontation on such a minor issue then please do, but if it is a serious problem then try talking to them in private away from people but try your hardest not to be offensive.
no u cant, just hint. like can u smell that etc, but be nice, they should get the hints, i work with some like that i did hint , they got it but in a way that did not upset them and we are good work mates,
Hah, Try and Sit Somewhere Else =]
I gave a member of my staff the opportunity to deal with it them self , I posed a question which gave them 2 options with out embarrassment . 1 ) had we the company supplied them with sufficient amount of uniform for everyday use 2 ) did they have a medical condition they should need to see the doctor about . They took the second option

Can I pay to get an MRI without having to go through the doctors.?

I have had one done that confirmed a stress fracture of the first metatarsal and have gone through the treatment procedure that the doctors gave me. However, it still hurts but I have also been seeing a physio and she has found that there is soft tissue damage. Obviously now I do not know what the problem is. Is the stress fracture still there or is all the pain being caused by something else?
Can I pay to have an MRI scan done and if so where?
Any info is greatly apreciated.
Answer:
In a nutshell no. No medical imaging would be done to anyone without referral from a doctor. There are countless private clinics which will be more than happy to take your money off you, although you would still have to see a doctor first. If your physio has pointed out 'soft tissue damage', and you feel it requires further scanning, then I would advise you to go back to your GP. They in turn will refer you to an NHS hospital if they feel it is warranted. There is a misconception that the NHS will not provide care because of penny pinching but that is nonsense. If you need further investigation then you will be seen. The difference with private health care is that you will no doubt be seen quicker, because as you can appreciate stress fractures are not of the up-most priority and MRI is perhaps one of the most costly imaging procedures. The legal guidelines with MRI are also slightly different over other conventional imaging, such as CT, because no ionising radiation is being used. You may find you don't need a MRI a standard x-ray may show up the stress fracture (I won't bore you with the fundamentals of bone healing). Often we use nuclear medicine to image for stress fractures. Each procedure offers pros and cons, this is why you need to speak to your GP ( Private doctor's will just offer you the most expensive treatment, cynical but true). Any further advice feel free to e-mail me. I couldn't diagnose your problem without seeing your x-rays (providing you have had any but you should have had). It can however take as long as 12 weeks for a stress fracture to heal itself
Here in the UK you can pay privately for an MRI scan at most hospitals that have MRI scanners, but they usually still require a referral from your doctor. But it should only take a week or two at the most and could cost around 拢450 - 拢550. You could try phoning the radiology department and asking if they require a referral, but it is usually the case.
Contact the Wellington Hospital, St Johns Wood, London. Next to Lords Cricket Ground. Type in Wellington Hospital in your search engine for web address. I had a MRI a while back without having to go through my Doctor. However, must point out they are very expensive but worth the expense if really needed. Good hunting.
legally, an mri can not be performed on you without a doctors order. if you think you should have one, you should call your doctor and ask him to fax an order.with a previous injury he/she shouldn't need to see you in the office for that, unless they're just trying to milk you out of your co pay.
You usually need a doctor's referral or prescription to have a MRI done. I don't think you can just walk in and get another one done. A MRI is fairly expensive and to pay out of pocket is pretty costly. Insurances usually cover it. Regarding your problem...without more information and how long and how it's been treat'd and whether you got x-rays or not - it's hard to say how the pain is still there. You don't normally see first metatarsal stress fractures too often - it can happen but it's not as common as the third metatarsal. Other things around the first metatarsal include the big toe joint and the structures around it. Somtimes, chronic limitation of motion of the big toe joint can cause changes on MRI that can appear to look like a stress fracture. There's also small sesamoid bones underneath our big toe joint that can be fractured and that can cause pain to exist. I'd suggest getting another opinion from another doctor - podiatrist just to see if it's not something else. Hope this helps!
You can get it done privately by going to bupa so long as you foot the bill.
You can pay for it, but a doctor has to order it. Talk to your primary care doc and let them know you are willing to pay if you insurance doesn't cover it. Keep in mind that it is a very expensive test.
best to go through your doctor to get a referral. its no skin off their nose to order it, not like you're asking for surgery. these things do take time to heal though, not everyone gets the same treatment as footballers, we're not all fighing fit after 2 weeks.
You took the words right out of my mouth MWNN.. Honest.

Can I mix alittle wine drinking with my meds.?

Meaning xo blood pressure pills. But Zoloph, and Gabapentin are taken, And a few more.
Answer:
NO
I cant be too sure. But, iv heard that mixing medicine with alcoholic beverages is really not reccommended. I would say no.
NO - please do not mix any kind of alcohol with any kind of medication. You're taking a big risk by doing that. You're also making life a lot harder on your liver.
No, I wouldn't. Get a pill book from the library or look on Drugs.com about each medication, it has a interaction checker that will tell you if it's dangerous. But..if it was me, I wouldn't drink.
not bloodthinners, that's bad.
No, especially since you didn't even have the common sense to list all of your meds when you are asking a pretty important question. Why would you risk your health like that when it clearly states on the pres. bttls., "do not take with alcohol" (at least on the gabapentin).
Don't look to a site that is meant for entertainment to validate your wishes to violate the suggestions clearly printed on the pres. bttls. This would be potentially dangerous to your health and I hope you think it through completely.
I wouldn't recommend it because of the fact that the alcohol could speed up the process of the side effects you already have. I would recommend talking to your drs as well to see what they say.
If your talking about having 1 (one) glass of wine, in a small wine glass, with dinner then I'd say that would be o.k. Actually my mothers heart doctor told her to have one glass at night. It helps with the circulation of your blood. But no more than one glass. To be sure I would ask my doctor and he will tell you what is safe and what isn't, he knows the meds you are on.
Ask your doctor or the pharmacist. I had a drink on my 21st birthday when I was on some kind of medication. The pharmacist and doctor said it was okay with the medicine I was taking, just don't drink too much. I would check before I take that risk though.

Can I mix Advil and Coedine?

I have a huge, inflamed spider bite on my eyebrow and I get really bad migranes and throbbing pain. Advil doesnt seem to help. I got some Coedine for sleeping, but I just took advil.. Can I take the coedine with it?
Answer:

call yout local drug store and ask the pharmacist
no! mixing medications is very bad! it could cause serious things to happen. call your doctor so he can perscribe a medication that would help!
Actually you can alternate every two hours. But your stomach might not like the affect!!
Call your doctor. Most likely the combo will make you nauseous. I would not do it.
as long as the form of codeine you are taking does not also contain an nsaid it's fine.
Aspirin with Codeine, Tylenol with Codeine.
