Blood in the lining of my eye after being hit in it...?

My husband and I got in a fight last Sunday night, he punched me in my eye after I threw him off our porch. When he hit me he did it from the side, right away the side of me eye swelled up almost the size of a golf ball. The next day I went to the doctor, they did x-rays and all and she said I would be fine if I just put ice on it, there were no fractures. Well the day after that when I woke up there was blood in like the lining of my eye, it's my left eye and it is only on the left side of my pupil. I called my doctor and she said that it was okay but she didn't say anything else. Now it's almost been a week, the swelling is almost completly gone just a really big black eye. That is going away but I was wondering how long till the blood in my eye goes away?
Does anyone know?
Please no criticism.
Thank you
Answer:
blood in the eye chamber can take a while to go away, usually a couple of weeks. second, please seek some professional help regarding an abusive relationship, and yes you are in one. no man, especially your husband should ever punch you or hit you in anyway. please dont buy into the "excuses" of: you were asking for it, he really loves you, you deserved it, he did not mean it, etc. because they are all bullsh1t!!
call the doctor who initially treated you.
broken blood vessels
It should take a few weeks to completely dissipate
sounds like broken blood vessels, you should follow up with an optomotrist to make sure there wasn't permenant damage. sorry to hear you had to go through that.
your screwed
a full grow man hit you and you live with him
wow
6 months for extream trauma if it does heal right
I'm guessing give it a month and keep your eyes clean
take them out and wash them from time time as so not to get infected and yes go back to the doctor it will take about a month or two
wait if its in the eye it self it may take 3 months
he hit you to hard next time tell him to jab not hook or cross
about three more weeks.
the best way to get rid of the blood in your eye membrane is time. blood instinctively drains down. my 20 yr son has had it from intense heaving ... it causes broken blood vessels. it goes away -- eventually. that said...(no criticism) you need to get away from your abuser. there is no reason that it is ever ok to hit a loved one. i think you know that, otherwise you wouldn't of put in the clause of no criticism's. good luck to you.
You should go to a doctor who is willing to take your injury more seriously. Fight for a better diagnosis. Keep in mind that the doctors should have to work for a pay check and that they are simply part of a money making machine. Don't let them force you into any thing and don't let them push you around. It's your eye and you should be sure you are being taken care of. That being said, if another doctor says it's okay, especially an optometrist, you're probably okay and not just being brushed aside for someone who they can squeeze more money out of.
This is not criticism. This may save your life.
Leave him now.
You are being abused and are an abuser.
This will only get worse and, eventually, you'll be killed.
Yes! You will die.
We'll all see it on COPS.
Call the local shelter for abused women.
Take the kids and RUN!I can't freakin believe so many ByeDr.comers are so willing to let you stay in this environment.
What the hell happened to all the compassion I read in other catagories?
