Can I take more than 2 Tylenol PM? I still can't sleep only taking 2!?

Answer:
i strongly suggest valerian root. it's great at relieving stress and tension! you can get it over the counter and it's a great sleep aid! if you have one of those "racing minds" or "i can't turn my head off no matter how tired i am" then this will definitely help. you can find at your local grocery store in the pharmacy or herbal remedy section. start off taking 500-1000mgs, 30-45 minutes before you go to bed. now you can get this stuff in capsule form and it's 100% safe (my whole family has been taking it for years and our family doctor actually recommended it) however the only downside is that the more potent the brand your taking the stronger the smell. and this stuff smells AWFUL! but it's worth it. within 5-7 days you should notice a definite change in your sleep. WARNING! i strongly do not suggest that you take Tylenol PM and booze, in any form or combination. the main ingredient in Tylenol PM and Advil pm, or benadryl for that matter is diphenhydramine. here's what happens when you take it:
You can walk into a drugstore and choose from an array of sleep aids, offered without prescription. The main ingredient of over-the-counter sleeping pills is an antihistamine. Antihistamines are generally taken for allergies, but also make you feel very sleepy. Common over-the-counter sleep medications are Sleep-Eze, Sominex, Nytol, and Unison; they contain antihistamines such as:diphenhydramine hydrochloride,
diphenhydramine citrate, or
doxylamine succinate.
In general, over-the-counter sleep medications are not a good choice because they:Are not intended for long-term use.
Interfere with mental alertness during the day, so you should avoid driving and other similar tasks. You may also be at risk for falling asleep
Reduce the quality of your sleep by reducing time you spend in deep sleep.
Use over-the-counter sleep medications only for transient or short-term insomnia and in conjunction with changes to your sleeping habits. Be sure to pay attention to your body鈥檚 physical response to these sleep medications.i hope this helps!
I wouldn't if I were you. The problem with taking more than the recommended dosage is that it can cause liver damage.I would suggest trying something like Unisom and seeing if that helped.
Nyqil night time works way better
I take 3
Take a benedryl-that's in the tylenol pm to help you sleep. If you don't need the pain medicine, just try benedryl.Tylenol is hard on your liver.
Tylenol PM is tylenol and an antihystamine. I would recommend try 15 minutes of excersize before bed- even if it's right in your bedroom and you're just doing some crunches. If you've been using tylenol a lot you may want to switch. Try no tylanol and take 2 advil. They are both muscle relaxers, but made of different ingredients. Try not to take them together, and eat a little something with the advil. Maybe a glass of milk.
Hey!! Take 2 tylenol doesn't mean that it will help you to sleep(or it doesn't mean it didn't have effect if you don't sleep). 2 Tylenol is the optimum dose for the adult which the drug manufacturer has already calculated for that! Anyway, you should get some advice from pharmacist or the doctor if you felt like, there's something wrong after you take it. But you shouldn't take acetaminophen for along time because it provides toxicity to your liver!

Can I take an advil if i just took an aleve about an hour ago?

Answer:
NO! Both are of the same nature and go through the liver. You could do damage to your liver. Tylenol is an alternative. Some doctors say you can alternate Tylenol and Advil every 2-3 hours. You should call a pharmacist or your doctor to be sure, especially if you are on other meds.
Yes, you can even take 2.
no
I wouldnt' advise it--some pills actually counter each other, so you would either make yourself sicker or just knock yourself out. But, it may be alright if you take one Advil and then one Aleve.
no
NoThey are both anti-inflammatories of the same family. If you can normally take tylenol, then that can be taken with either.
you shouldn't unless the DR tell You it is ok But you can alternate acdminifin every 2 hours with the ibuprophin.
Asprin and advil(aleve)

Can I sleep?

I'm in leg casts on both legs from the end of my hips to just before my toes. I can roll on my side and back but that's it. I can't bend my knees obviously and luckily I only have 4 more days before the casts come off. But It's really hard to sleep in the rental bed, I can't change the arrangements and my movement is limited, are there any other tips to fall asleep? Ex. Thinking of a particular thing? IDK. Thanks!
Answer:
falling asleep in a cast was hard for me too! ee =[[well people sleep when they are tried
so watch a movie!
i really don't know what to say
i put glitter all over my cast and stuff thats something fun to do
well, i hope everything goes well
just hang in there k.
best of luck
sorry if that didn't help hopefully it did

Can i refuse to work with a colleague who has body odour?

Answer:
You can, but I'd get someone else involved, contact your H.R department for advice on how to handle the situation.
No, but you can bring in an air freshner and keep spraying the office to mask the stench. You need to be more tolerant of other people (as it may be an underlying medical condition with your colleague) and who knows, he/she may get the hint if you keep spraying the office space that you share.
You can ask to assigned someone else but no you cannot refuse to work with them. It could be a medical condition causing the BO. Have you supervisor talk to the person about it and let them know they think there may be a problem and suggest the see a doc to get it checked out.
well in the uk it is a health and safety issue.. tell ur manager they do have to do something
You can, but it's a matter of whether you can without jeopardising your job. Have a word with your Human Resources person - or is it them that smells?!
no but you can sue
no really you can
Doubt it. Get a life and worry about the more important things in the world.
well you can but you could get fired lol just ask him politly if he wouldnt mind puttin deoderant on or taking a shower
U can resign
every dog smells his own *** first.
Some people have medical conditions which attribute to this so be sensitive in your judgement as it might not be due to lack of personal hygiene. If you can avoid confrontation on such a minor issue then please do, but if it is a serious problem then try talking to them in private away from people but try your hardest not to be offensive.
no u cant, just hint. like can u smell that etc, but be nice, they should get the hints, i work with some like that i did hint , they got it but in a way that did not upset them and we are good work mates,
Hah, Try and Sit Somewhere Else =]
I gave a member of my staff the opportunity to deal with it them self , I posed a question which gave them 2 options with out embarrassment . 1 ) had we the company supplied them with sufficient amount of uniform for everyday use 2 ) did they have a medical condition they should need to see the doctor about . They took the second option

Can I pay to get an MRI without having to go through the doctors.?

I have had one done that confirmed a stress fracture of the first metatarsal and have gone through the treatment procedure that the doctors gave me. However, it still hurts but I have also been seeing a physio and she has found that there is soft tissue damage. Obviously now I do not know what the problem is. Is the stress fracture still there or is all the pain being caused by something else?
Can I pay to have an MRI scan done and if so where?
Any info is greatly apreciated.
Answer:
In a nutshell no. No medical imaging would be done to anyone without referral from a doctor. There are countless private clinics which will be more than happy to take your money off you, although you would still have to see a doctor first. If your physio has pointed out 'soft tissue damage', and you feel it requires further scanning, then I would advise you to go back to your GP. They in turn will refer you to an NHS hospital if they feel it is warranted. There is a misconception that the NHS will not provide care because of penny pinching but that is nonsense. If you need further investigation then you will be seen. The difference with private health care is that you will no doubt be seen quicker, because as you can appreciate stress fractures are not of the up-most priority and MRI is perhaps one of the most costly imaging procedures. The legal guidelines with MRI are also slightly different over other conventional imaging, such as CT, because no ionising radiation is being used. You may find you don't need a MRI a standard x-ray may show up the stress fracture (I won't bore you with the fundamentals of bone healing). Often we use nuclear medicine to image for stress fractures. Each procedure offers pros and cons, this is why you need to speak to your GP ( Private doctor's will just offer you the most expensive treatment, cynical but true). Any further advice feel free to e-mail me. I couldn't diagnose your problem without seeing your x-rays (providing you have had any but you should have had). It can however take as long as 12 weeks for a stress fracture to heal itself
Here in the UK you can pay privately for an MRI scan at most hospitals that have MRI scanners, but they usually still require a referral from your doctor. But it should only take a week or two at the most and could cost around 拢450 - 拢550. You could try phoning the radiology department and asking if they require a referral, but it is usually the case.
Contact the Wellington Hospital, St Johns Wood, London. Next to Lords Cricket Ground. Type in Wellington Hospital in your search engine for web address. I had a MRI a while back without having to go through my Doctor. However, must point out they are very expensive but worth the expense if really needed. Good hunting.
legally, an mri can not be performed on you without a doctors order. if you think you should have one, you should call your doctor and ask him to fax an order.with a previous injury he/she shouldn't need to see you in the office for that, unless they're just trying to milk you out of your co pay.
You usually need a doctor's referral or prescription to have a MRI done. I don't think you can just walk in and get another one done. A MRI is fairly expensive and to pay out of pocket is pretty costly. Insurances usually cover it. Regarding your problem...without more information and how long and how it's been treat'd and whether you got x-rays or not - it's hard to say how the pain is still there. You don't normally see first metatarsal stress fractures too often - it can happen but it's not as common as the third metatarsal. Other things around the first metatarsal include the big toe joint and the structures around it. Somtimes, chronic limitation of motion of the big toe joint can cause changes on MRI that can appear to look like a stress fracture. There's also small sesamoid bones underneath our big toe joint that can be fractured and that can cause pain to exist. I'd suggest getting another opinion from another doctor - podiatrist just to see if it's not something else. Hope this helps!
You can get it done privately by going to bupa so long as you foot the bill.
You can pay for it, but a doctor has to order it. Talk to your primary care doc and let them know you are willing to pay if you insurance doesn't cover it. Keep in mind that it is a very expensive test.
best to go through your doctor to get a referral. its no skin off their nose to order it, not like you're asking for surgery. these things do take time to heal though, not everyone gets the same treatment as footballers, we're not all fighing fit after 2 weeks.
You took the words right out of my mouth MWNN.. Honest.

Can I mix alittle wine drinking with my meds.?

Meaning xo blood pressure pills. But Zoloph, and Gabapentin are taken, And a few more.
Answer:
NO
I cant be too sure. But, iv heard that mixing medicine with alcoholic beverages is really not reccommended. I would say no.
NO - please do not mix any kind of alcohol with any kind of medication. You're taking a big risk by doing that. You're also making life a lot harder on your liver.
No, I wouldn't. Get a pill book from the library or look on Drugs.com about each medication, it has a interaction checker that will tell you if it's dangerous. But..if it was me, I wouldn't drink.
not bloodthinners, that's bad.
No, especially since you didn't even have the common sense to list all of your meds when you are asking a pretty important question. Why would you risk your health like that when it clearly states on the pres. bttls., "do not take with alcohol" (at least on the gabapentin).
Don't look to a site that is meant for entertainment to validate your wishes to violate the suggestions clearly printed on the pres. bttls. This would be potentially dangerous to your health and I hope you think it through completely.
I wouldn't recommend it because of the fact that the alcohol could speed up the process of the side effects you already have. I would recommend talking to your drs as well to see what they say.
If your talking about having 1 (one) glass of wine, in a small wine glass, with dinner then I'd say that would be o.k. Actually my mothers heart doctor told her to have one glass at night. It helps with the circulation of your blood. But no more than one glass. To be sure I would ask my doctor and he will tell you what is safe and what isn't, he knows the meds you are on.
Ask your doctor or the pharmacist. I had a drink on my 21st birthday when I was on some kind of medication. The pharmacist and doctor said it was okay with the medicine I was taking, just don't drink too much. I would check before I take that risk though.

Can I mix Advil and Coedine?

I have a huge, inflamed spider bite on my eyebrow and I get really bad migranes and throbbing pain. Advil doesnt seem to help. I got some Coedine for sleeping, but I just took advil.. Can I take the coedine with it?
Answer:
no you will most likely throw up
call yout local drug store and ask the pharmacist
no! mixing medications is very bad! it could cause serious things to happen. call your doctor so he can perscribe a medication that would help!
Actually you can alternate every two hours. But your stomach might not like the affect!!
Call your doctor. Most likely the combo will make you nauseous. I would not do it.
as long as the form of codeine you are taking does not also contain an nsaid it's fine.
Aspirin with Codeine, Tylenol with Codeine.
INTERACTION-Do not drink alcohol with this medication because it could increase sedative effect of medication. Take with meals, small snacks or milk because this medication may cause stomach upset.
Other Narcotic Analgesics-Narcotics are used for the relief of pain. Some commonly used narcotic analgesics;
meperidine, morphine, oxycodone, pentazocine,
propoxyphene
INTERACTION-Do not drink alcohol because it increases sedative effect of the medications. Take these medications with food, because they can upset the stomach.

Can i make my adderall xr realese like regular adderall.?

Answer:
They say crush it and snot it. If you do this your heading for trouble. Hope you don't hurt your self
Why? Are you looking for a high? Go back to your psychiatrist ASAP, but you know that already don't you? Adderall was prescribed in a slow-release form for a good reason. Maybe you should think about why this is so...The answer to your question is a definite NO! This is why it is prescribed in two forms - slow release and regular. You've conveniently withheld your reason for wanting to increase the way this medication is metabolized by your body. Again, ask yourself why you omitted such a crucial bit of information. You cannot change the way a medication is metabolized by the body. If you're not happy with your medication, not achieving positive results, or have any unusual side-effects, it's only logical to consult your psychiatrist isn't it?If your Doctor saw the need for regular Adderall, and prescribed it in a slow release form, you'd be happy why? You need to see him ASAP. You're desperation to get a quick fix of Adderall, suggests this may be leading to drug abuse, and subsequently a potential Addiction.STOP NOW! Tell your Dr the truth, and get help before it kills your soul, and ultimately TAKES YOUR LIFE!
WOW Grace! That was quite a post. Quick tip.seek firest to understand then to be understood... I would assume that applies to speaking as well as typing. I am responding because I feel it can be a legitimate question. To save time, lets consider 2 different scenarios.
Scenario 1-
You want a quick fix or high. In this case I would say..no. stay away from it. I have a family member who has ruined lives by abusing drugs.
Scenario 2-
You want the xr to give you the same feeling regular adderral does. Because of the way you asked your question it seems probable you already know the way regular adderall is released or makes you feel. Lets say your doc prescribed you a combination of reg and xr and you had some of the xr and not any of the reg in this case I can see how someone who would never abuse drugs would question this possibility. Because it is a c2 drug you must see your doc monthly. so i can see the possibility or even probability of this happening due to procrastination or doc being on vacation etc..
Grace~ would you have responded the same way if the question was "Can I chew an aspirin to help my headache go away faster?"
Lets not assume everyone is a drug addict..

Can i go to the ER by my self?? im 16 male.?

by caretaker dosent want to take me becuse i have been 10 times and they havent found anyrhing. she thinks it is in my head. my head hurts muscle twitches body slight shaking. i am going to go alone. i have nobody to take me.
Answer:
yes, you can.you may be having panic attacks. Or some of the hard to diagnose forms of epilepsy. (like complex partial seizures, which are very hard to diagnose) i think a neurologist might be more useful than going to the ER, but i have no idea how you could make that happen.
You can.. it costs a lot more that way though. Some hospitals will have to take you (insurance or not) - but your caretaker will probably be more thankful if you make an appointment :)

Can I get some medical advice?

My upper back and left shoulder/arm is hurting so bad. The pain is excruciating. Please don't tell me to go to the doctor. I have an appointment set for Thursday. But I was wondering if anyone has a clue about what might be the problem and what I might be able to do between now and then to relieve the pain. I'll elaborate on what I'm feeling: My lower neck and upper back is sore (like how we feel when we get the flu). Same with my left shoulder. The pain radiates down my left arm-- But, the further down it goes, it feels more like sunburn or like I held my arm over the stove until I got a bit fried. Know what I mean? Asprin isn't killing the pain. Pain killers aren't helping. And I have drank so much booze that my belly is STUFFED. Does anyone have any advice? Know what's wrong with me or what I could do to ease the pain 'til I see the doc? Thanks!
Answer:
Could it be possible that you have Pleurisy?
Try a heating pad you can make one from home with a cloth bag and rice not instant rice but regular rice heat in the microwave for 5 minutes and make shore the bag is closed tightly .Apply to area that hurts or if you can get someone to rub some icy hot on it
Stop drinking. It won't help. Sounds like somehow you may have damaged a nerve. What kind of pain killers? Please don't mix booze and any pills. Please?! I hope you have a good doctor. Have you tried ice or heat on it? Tried slowly stretching or anything? The sunburn like feeling makes me think, nerve damage. I hope not.
I hope you get relief from this agony soon. Take care and good luck.
Sorry to tell you...sounds like you may have broken a bone or torn some ligaments/tendons. GO TO THE HOSPITAL...Since you're intoxicated, call someone to drive you there. If it is a break, you could do yourself some serious hurt not getting treatment right away. The same is true if you tore any ligaments or tendons.
Thank you for describing the quality of pain. A burning sensation is associated with nerve pain. It's possible that you have a pinched nerve and aspirin/pain killers/booze won't alleviate nerve pain. Moist heat or a heating pad may help. Gently and carefully stretching your spine in all directions might reduce the pressure on the nerve, thus relieveing pain. I hope it's not a disc involved and I wish you luck next Thursday.
It would be nice to know how old you are and if there are other heart problems. At my age I'd worry about a heart attack. Females present somewhat differently, often with stomach ache or pain under the jaw. Any risk factors such as high cholesterol, blood pressure or diabetes? Gall bladder pain is usually referred to the right shoulder.Any injury or overuse to suspect rotator cuff injury? A pinched nerve? Whiplash?Chest disease can cause shoulder pain, like pneumonia or pleuritis. Worst case scenario could be a tumor spreading to the ribs. Personally, if I were in the degree of pain you describe, I'd see a doctor very soon.
you could be having a heart attack. Seriously, don't wait for the Dr. just go to the ER.
As a couple of others already suggested, use heat pads which you heat in the microwave, you may use a cloth on your skin for protection if the pad is too hot (it needs to be). You must repeat constantly reheating. If you have more than one pad or even an infrared lamp you can purchase from chemists, use one of those. You need to be patient, use these very often and repeatedly, and use a good massuer to massage the whole area in addition to the hot pad use at home. It may become painfull, it is a branch of the cervical nerves that had blockers in the past and is becoming reinervated. It is good that you are going to the doctors for peace of mind, meanwhile, if you have not already being taken in and have to wait long, you must be certain somehow that it is not serious. If it is then I'd try another doctor who can see you right away until you see your own.
It appears to be nerve related though and a chinese massuer might do the work for you.
With the type of pain you are having, it does sound much like a pinched nerve. Aspirin, Tylenol most likely wont' help much. Try 800mg of Ibuprofen, as that as used as an anti-inflamatory more than for pain, which is what you need right now. Try soaking in a hot bath, and using heating pads. With the degree of pain you are experiencing, I realy don't think you should wait till Thursday to see a doc. I would go to the ER or an Urgent Care center. Prolonging treatment will only worsen the pain. GL and hope you are feeling better soon.

Can I get poison ivy (or whatever its called) if I touch someone who has it?

My sister has a weird sort of rash, that looks sort of like poison ivy (or whatever its called! lol feel free to correct me on this). I've touched her rash, rubbing anti-itch cream on it. If it was poison ivy would I get it from touching her rash?
Answer:
If you are allergic to it, too, you might. I get it from my husband's clothes when he has been working in the yard.
I'm highly susceptible to it, and the oil from the plant gets on his clothes. It can stay for over a year on clothng that hasn't been washed or drycleaned. And he has spread it to our kids when he isn't careful about washing his hands thoroughly or changing his clothes before coming in contact with us.
He is not allergic. I keep a box of vinyl exam gloves so I can touch things that might have poison ivy on them.
well sweet heart yes u can get poison ivy if u tush some 1 that has it becuz poison ivy is contagious and u may not wanna touch the person who has it for about 1 or 2 weeks just until u no it is gone
It's possible. If you have to do that again, just make sure you wash your hands really well after.
My boyfriend just got poison ivy a few days ago. He has been concerned that he would give it to me. I am one of the few that is not allergic to the oil of poison ivy. You can not get it from touching your sisters rash. It is not contagious. You can get it if you touch something that still has the oils. So if you touch whatever she was wearing when she got it and that item has not been washed, then you can get it. Make sure that everything she was wearing gets cleaned otherwise she may get poison ivy again. Including her shoes. I think rubbing alcohol will disinfect the shoes, not sure. I've listed a site so you can read for yourself. And by the way when in doubt ask a medical professional they will give you the right information, including what will help the rash.
I hope this helps.

Can i get my tongue pierced if i got a sore throat?

Answer:
I wouldn't recommend it. The bacteria in your throat is liable to spread to your tongue piercing
it麓s recomendable not to do it, for health measures.
dude i advise u not to!
yes if you haven't swallowed your tounge.
I would be free and clear of all infections and illness if it was me..i had mine peirced 7 years ago..trust me you can wait a week or two. see your doctor and get antibiotics
You can but its not a good idea.
Go ahead it shouldn't matter.my wife had a headache when she had hers done..
I certainly wouldn't recommend it. Your body needs to be strong to fight infection with the tongue being pierce, don't add on to that with a sore throat.
i would wait until you get better because you can get a really bad infection, get the peircing oerson sick, or just have really bad pain...
Absolutely. If you have the flu or something serious, it might be best to wait, but if its just a sore throat from allergies or something you should be fine. Just make sure you use the mouthwash and keep it very very clean the first couple of weeks. Follow all of the instructions they give you because a tongue piercing is not something to **** around with.
I would not recommend it wait until it heals
I would like to take this opportunity to say you should think twice about piercing your tongue as this causes an increase in saliva and thus weakens gums in addition to the increased risk of infection.Depending on your age, occupation, this may have a detrimental affect on your ability to acquire greater things in life.
Wouldn鈥檛 recommend it, it might cause infection to occur. Might as well wait a couple of days.
Why the crap would you get a a tounge piercing. Thats dumb.
It wouldn't be advisable...you run a very high risk of the piercing becoming infected.Wait till the throat is better.
Of course, you CAN do it. The question is whether or not you SHOULD do it.
I wouldn't get my tongue pierced at all. It's a bad idea. Would you rather have your tongue pierced and get an infection and get your tongue removed or deal without it pierced? think about all of the bacteria in your mouth before you go an put a hole in your tongue.
yes, your sour throat has nothing to do with your tongue.but keep in mind that (my friend had her tongue pierced) all you can eat the first three days is ice!btw, it doessn't hurt so much to have it done, just afterwards it feels weird and is hard to eat (so ive heard)oh and make sure the piecing is all the way through the tongue, because if its just an on top thing, it hurts for weeks!
Some places will allow it, however many will turn you down.
THis is generally because if it spreads and becomes a serious issue, they could be sued.Besides, It is a pretty unwise thing to do anyway.
Infections can cause further irritation, and cause very dangerous and unwelcome stinging from the bacteria in your throat entering your tongue.
still, your throat is sure to clear up pretty quick, so i wouldnt worry about it!
why would you even ask a question like that? if you have to ask that, then obviously you have no business getting it done.
use a little common sense. when you get your tongue pierced, a lot of times your tongue swells which makes it hard to swallow. when you have a sore throat it is hard to swallow. also all the infection from a sore throat will go right into the piercing, and that needs to be as sterile and infection free as possible.
so, therefore the answer is do not get your tongue pierced with a sore throat.
Contact your piercing establishment and ask. You probably have a fever accompanying your sore throat. My prediction is that they'll say "wait until you're better."

Can i get disposable stiches wet?

Can i buy kapake tablets online?

or anything simular for sever pain (toothache)
Answer:
alternate paracetamol and ibuprofen every 2 hours.
This can be done for NO more than 3 days.
It worked for me with severe pain I feel for you i just got over it.
you probably can but it is not worth it because you will get ripped off. Go see a dentist!
No i don't think so ?, but Kapake tablets are exactly the same as Co Codamol 30/500mg, that's 30mg codeine %26 500mg paracetamol. You can buy co codamol at the chemist but not that strengh, i think they sell the 15/500 ones, they will help ease the pain though, and you can get ambersol at the chemist which really helps with sore teeth and gums !!.
I doubt you will be able to buy it online, you can get a lower strength of co-codamol, which is the same thing, over the counter in your local pharmacy, but if you want a higher strength, you will probably need to see your GP. Ibuprofen is also good for toothache!
Hi when i had toothache my pharmacist gave me paramol and brufon they really worked go to your chemist they sell both over the counter.
Have you checked these two pharmacies, http://www.4rx.net and http://www.xlpharmacy-rx.com ?
This will sound a little silly but humour me- Paracetamol! Plain and simple. I was in agony with wisdom toth trouble and my dentist could do nothing about it. She said- just keep yourself dosed up on paracetamol (BUT PLEASE DON'T OVERDOSE! Because it can cause irreversible liver damage that won't bite you in the as untill years to come)
Also for a more topical treatment try cloves and clove oil- they're cheap and they work to a point. Also bongella works to help with inflammation of the gums around the infected area. Hope it helps! ;-)

Can i be an EMT and be in college?

I don't know what i want to be yet im barely going to be a junior in high school. But i kinda want to go to med school. but i was wondering that while im in college if i could be and EMT?Also this sounds weird but i kinda want to join the CIA if i decided med school isn't for me, would that help me some how?
Answer:
EMT-B is a one semester class. You could take it at some colleges and even work for an ambulance transport company while you're going to school.
EMT require about 1.5~2 year training. It's pretty much full time thing. You can look up local community %26 technical colleges for EMT programs.CIA recruit very wide range of workers and intelligence officers/analysts. You can look at CIA websites for job openings actually. If you speak fluid Arabic they probably have position for you.
if your state has a class that you can take that doesn't require going to a school like just going after work of something then you could do that. it only takes about three or four months. i took it but i live in Maine. i don't know were you live but you should inquire about if they have that kind of a program.
I'm a EMT in NJ. I know many people that are full time EMT's and that are going to nursing school and paramedic school. The EMT program here is 120 hours. Classes can be found on the state web site. A lot of people become EMT's to start their medical training. Being an EMT can help you in many areas. Just depends on what you want to do in life.

Can hydrocodone really effect the way you are?

my mother has been on meds for a while b/c of some medical reasons. now she has been emotionally and verbally abusive to a point where it is noticable and starting to effect the family
Answer:
Yes, pain medications can affect the way you act, think and behave. So can pain that continues for a long time and isn't relieved. She may be in pain even with the hydrocodone and needs to speak to her Dr about changing medications. I have been taking pain meds for years now due to severe chronic pain from failed back surgeries, and it does affect you. Also, if she is running out of medication before time for her next refill, that can really change a person and how they behave. Remember they are addictive and if you are on them for a long time, your body becomes dependent on that medication.
Try talking to her about what she's feeling and going through and try to get her to talk to her Dr about getting more help. Good luck.
any of the narcotic pain medications can affect you that way. it is best to find a way to correct the problem that is causing the pain without those types of drugs. hydro is extremely addictive and it will get outa control. whatever happens, do not get on morphine unless she is teminal.

Can heat and humidity make your joints hurt?

My wrist and my ankles are killing me. They have never been this bad. I live in Philly and we are having a heat wave, could this be the reason? What can I do to help it? I tried icy hot and it didn't do much. I am not sure if I am suppose to heat it or ice it. I am only 30 so I have never had this much pain in my joints. My wrist sometimes hurt from the work but nothing like this.
Answer:
yes dumbass! Just ask andrea she can tell you all about joint pain. LoL we had this convo already. your and old lady. I can't believe you dad said that I was gonna be an old maid soon.
I have osteoarthritis.. when I go to the gym I spend 20 minutes warming up in teh sauna or steam room before I start to workout... just to warm up my joints. I think the cold weather causes me the most trouble.Perhpas you have arthritis too.. try glucosamine. It is thought of as an old person's disease.. but I am not so old.
it's less, but sometimes it can. when winter that's the time most likely oldies hurt their joints
you should really go to the doctors for a check up and some blood work. Joint pain can be rheumatoid arthritis, or a sympton of Lupus SLE. I'm in my 20s and for about 1 year I had joint pain in my wrist and ankles (like you) one and off. I was later diagnosed with Lupus SLE, which is a Autoimmune disease that attacks connective tissues. I really hope you get it checked out, because you can prevent it from getting worse. Something as seemingly simple as joint pain can be a symptom of something more serious.

Can gass from indigestion can kill you?

Can exercise help reduce spider veins?

How about the ones that already exist? My legs are getting worse everyday, especially after becoming pregnant with my first baby who's now 9 months old. It seems to run in my family(mother).
Answer:
No, exercise won't make spider veins go away. Some people's skin shows their veins more clearly than others. It's just hereditary. I believe the only way to get rid of them is through surgery. Sally Hansen makes this spray tan stuff for your legs that can cover spider veins. Maybe you could check that out if you're self-conscious during the summer.
i dont know
If your concerned about veins on spiders you need to find a hobby or some activity to keep your mind busy. Nature takes care of the spider population.
Yes it does!
Sorry about your veins. That sucks. Regular exercise (even just a short walk), loose clothing and low-heeled shoes, changing positions frequently and sitting with your legs uncrossed your legs (long periods of stasis and crossed legs can aggravate circulation problems), and elevating your legs above your heart when resting can all go a long way to improving your circulation and reducing the appearance and presence of spider and varicose veins in your legs.
Take a high potency multilple vitamin and also take vitamin C 500 mg with bioflavinoids daily. You may also want to try Leg Vein Essentials and Vein Essentials Cream from swansonvitamins.com
Try to get on a daily exercise program of walking or cycling to improve your circulation. Good luck!

Can excedrin be abused?

ok so im wondering if you can abuse it, if it gets you high. my best friend takes it and i dont know if hes abusing it. but im wondering just ya know, if you can, and what does it do?
Answer:
1. It's a pain reliever - if your friend has taken any controlled substances that reduce pain (Lortab, Oxy, Percoset) it can help with the addiction withdrawl. (The withdrawl makes you feel like your head is in a vice).2. It doesn't get you high, but young adults that experiment with drugs can become addicted to the idea of taking pills. Call him/her a "Pill Jockey" and see how he/she reacts.3. Your friends threshold for pain will be lessened so even a pinch will hurt like hell, causing the "need" for another pill.4. It erodes the stomach lining so eventually your friend will end up in the hospital for ulcers. (Look for signs of stomach pain). Then you'll really know the answer.
Any medical drug can be abused with dangerous side effects. I'm not meaning that effects some drugs like cocaine can give, i mean any effect. The better is to get a medical order unless they are free to buy it everywhere.
Any medication can be abused by not following doctor's orders or the dosage recommended on the package. One danger to any medication is damage to the liver.
If you take to much of it between each dosage that it recomends your friend can OD.

Can dust remover the compressed air give you frost bite?

I mean that stuff is cold.
Answer:
Yeah, that stuff is damn cold. It could only give you frostbite if you were to apply it, say to your fingertips until the cells in your flesh start to freeze. And boy does that hurt...
Yes, if you turn the can upside and spray its liquid form onto your skin. It will do damage.
i dunno but it sure will give u a head rush
Putting gases under pressure takes a tremendous amount of energy. If you're familiar with SCUBA tanks, you'll notice that the tanks feel hot after being freshly filled.Conversely, the opposite is true. Releasing compressed gases also release a lot of pent up energy. The expansion of the gases causes a drastic lowering of the surrounding temperature. You can read more about this through this informative article:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/thermodynam...But to answer your question, yes, you can potentially get from bite from compressed gases. It depends on the volume and pressure difference. In fact, it's possible to get BURNS from the extreme cold, especially in CO2 systems with large reservoirs. Though I would hazard to guess that as long as you stay a few inches from the nozzle, no ill-effects should be experienced from the dust remover.

Can damage to nerves of a tooth be repaired?

During an extraction the nerve of the adjacent tooth as damaged and exposed. Can we do anything to fix it, to mimimalize damage? Do we need to extract the tooth when the tooth has died? How long can it take for the tooth to die, will it hurt?
Answer:
One way to find out is to go to a dentist. :)
My wife had excruciating debilitating pain in her cheek due to a damaged nerve. The hard part was to get a correct diagnosis as it was mistaken to be a tooth problem for a long time. She was eventually referred to a neurologist who prescribed an anti-convusant, tegretol, for her condition. The tegretol has made life possible while the nerve heals. She has been on it for a long time since she has other jaw issues that are being addressed and every time they fuss with the other issues, it exacerbates the damaged nerve.I don't know if the dentist will be the right person to see, but perhaps he/she can refer you to a neurologist, who can prescribe the right medicine. Good Luck.

Can cigarette smoke cause headaches?

I've tried to quit several times, although it does seem when I smoke I get headaches, I can't bring myself to quit. Anyone have any info about this? Thanks.
Answer:
Absolutely. Just the smoke from cigarettes contain many gases that are quite toxic to the body. You are literally breathing in posionous chemicals. They are actually considering making lung cancer deaths from smoking known as "SUICIDE". My dad is a jugde, and he heard from the government that within the next 6-8 months if you die from lung cancer because YOU smoke so much, then you have actually commited suicide! Cigarette companies have made cigarettes 15% more addictive in the past 3 years... bad, I know, but they've got to do this in order to compete with all the Stop smoking advertisements. Please stop smoking! It's bad for YOU, the people AROUND YOU, PLANTS, our ATMOSPHERE, and our entire WORLD! I hope this scares you a little bit, because I hate when people die from something silly like smoking! Please get help about this. There are dozens of good programs out now that you could pick up at your local drugstore to help you stop smoking!
I would say yes ! especially if in an enclosed area ~
yes it can and sometimes if you smoke really strong cigarettes or if you havent really gotten use to them yet then there your problem maybe you should ask a doctor!!
No, it's not the smoke, It's anxiety. Take Xanax.
you probably have allergies, you may want to try a claritan at night before bed. hope this helps
Yes, I used to give myself horrible headaches. Giving it up was the only way to get rid of them for me.
yep
My advise to you is 3 answers
1. Quit
2.Quit
3. quit
And don't ever THINK about starting again, this from a ex smoker!
the smoke effects everyone differently
Since smoking causes your lungs to provide less oxygen to your body, I would have to say that smoking can cause headaches. Decreased blood flow to your head = headacheI know it's hard to quit.but you should do it for the sake of your body, those around you, AND your pocketbook!Good luck!

Can chocolate cause a migraine headache?

It seems like I've been getting bad headaches when I eat chocolate, which I love. It says that most people aren't allergic to chocolate. Caffeine doesn't bother me at all. I keep trying to figure out what is setting these headaches off and it seems that chocolate in the evening causes me to wake up with a bad headache. Anyone ever hear of this?
Answer:
Eating chocolate certainly can cause migraines in many (not all) migraine sufferers. The chemical tyramine which is found in chocolate is to blame.
Never heard that .Donn't eat anyfor a coupel days and see if tat works. You might be clinching your jaw when you sleep.
yes it can. when my mom was younger she got terrible migraines every time she ate a chocolate bar or i made homemade chocolate sauce. the doctor said it comes from the cocoa bean that they use. stay away from dark chocolate and from hot fudge sauce and that should help. milk chocolate is good and won't or shouldn't give u headache. but hershey bars and almond joys or three muskateers will give pounding headaches. i hope this helps...
yes, it is a typical cause of headaches.

Answer:
Nonever did.You might be clinching your jaw at night when you sleep.
Yes. Studies have shown that caffeine and chocolate can be migraine "triggers".
yes, many people have an allergic reaction to a natually occuring chemical in chocolate that causes them to have migranes. Usually it has nothing to do with the caffeine. Too bad, cause chocolate is so yummy!
It certainly is possible. It's also easy to check. Lay off the chocolate for a week. If you don't get any headaches, try the chocolate again. If they start up again, you've found the cause.
Yes my wife is the same way. Chocalate is a trigger that most people do not realize. Caffine doesn't bother my wife either she uses it to get going in the morning (coffee with cream) and drinks tea the rest of the day. Their are also other foods and products that can cause the trigger. Look it up on www.webmd./migraines.
I have heard that choc. can be the cause of a migraine headache, I get them and have been to a neurologist several times they keep giving me a list of foods that I should avoid, but sometimes it is foods that are not on the list. If you find that something causes them I suggest that you stay away from that.

Can carple tunnel come back? Had surgery on both hands 3yrs ago. I'm using computer more & tingling is back

Answer:
Sure, it's possible. Many people have had carpal tunnel surgeries that were considered failed attempts to resolve the problem, too. The pain in your hand could stem from anywhere along the course of the nerve. That means the problem could be in your wrist, your elbow, your shoulder, or even your neck! In fact, many, if not most, CTS symptoms are caused by a neck problem. You may benefit from having your neck (and/or your wrists, etc.) adjusted by a chiropractor. Plus, because you are using the computer more, this may be re-aggravating your wrist problems, especially since they have undergone surgery. Make sure your wrists are in the correct position while typing. Stretch the wrists and shake them out occasionally. Also try this exercise: place a rubber-band around the fingers and thumb of one hand, and keeping the fingers extended, open and close the hand repeatedly. Good luck.

Can carpel tunnell syndrome be a result from a neck injury?

Answer:
congential predisposition? do you even know what that means?!anyway (enough argueing with other posters.)
u could very well have pain and discomfort in your arm and wrist due to a neck injury if there is a pinched nerve in your shoulder.. But this isn't carpal tunnel, this is something specific.. It could also be bursitis, which is also similar to carpal tunnel, but, as you mentioned a neck injury, it's most likely a pinched nerve.. try an over the counter anti-inflammatory (like motrin or asprin) and see if this helps.
some times Inherited in the genes !!carpal tunnel is simply smaller in some people than in others. Other contributing factors include trauma or injury to the wrist that cause swelling, such as sprain or fracture; over activity of the pituitary gland; hypothyroidism; rheumatoid arthritis; mechanical problems in the wrist joint; work stress; repeated use of vibrating hand tools; fluid retention during pregnancy or menopause; or the development of a cyst or tumor in the canal. In some cases no cause can be identified.
Not likely. Carpal tunnel syndrome is a repetitive stress (overuse) injury. Studies now lean toward the neck and head as causative agents over time (in terms of office ergonomics) but not as a result of direct injury to the neck.

In shrt the answer is YES! I have just been diagnosed with CTS in both hands and the rheumatologist and neurologist have both confirmed it is doe to a nerve defect in the neck. Mine was casused by getting Bells Palsy but there can be other reasons too
Carpal tunnel syndrome
Definition - a combination of paraesthesiae (pins and needles), numbness and pain affecting all of the hand except the little finger. There may be weakness of the thumb.
Cause - pressure on the median nerve as it passes through the carpal tunnel. Constant pressure and impact on the structures within the carpal tunnel can cause micro-trauma and therefore scar tissue to develop which can cause congestion. This congestion, with its rubbing and constricting effect, together with over-use in repeated flexion of the wrist and fingers can also cause inflammation of the tendons. A broken or badly healed carpal bone, particularly the scaphoid, can cause pressure or constriction if protruding into the tunnel and occupational activities such as typing, keyboard or guitar playing are typical of over-use of the flexors.
Symptoms - When the nerves are compressed or aggravated then the symptoms may be numbness and/or tingling in the fingers and inflammation of the tendons may result in pain and dysfunction in the hand and fingers. Carpal tunnel syndrome can develop over a long period of time before painful symptoms appear, by which time the congestion may be considerable. Diagnosis can be made by pain being felt on resistive flexion of the wrist. Phalen's Sign - a test for CTS - is to place the hands and fingers back-to-back by flexing both elbows and wrists to 90 degrees and holding the position for 1 minute. If pain or numbness and tingling are felt this is highly suggestive of CTS.Prevention - Any client engaged in an occupation or activity likely to result in carpal tunnel syndrome should be advised of their susceptibility through over-use of the flexors and shown a self-massage routine which may help prevent or alleviate the condition. Any routine massage of the arms should pay particular attention to the flexor muscles and tendons, both at their origins and insertions, and to the flexor retinaculum. Deep friction to and stretching of the flexor tendons are beneficial in prevention as they can help the tendons glide smoothly but the effect may be slow in treatment. Drainage of the tunnel can help in prevention as can sideways stretching of the palm and wrist from little finger to thumb and from thenar to hypothenar eminences. Treatment - Rest, particularly from over-use, with perhaps bandaging to support the wrist joint and help prevent too much flexion in order to rest the joint. Massage of the flexors and their tendons is best achieved with the client supine, the elbow resting on the couch and the forearm supported by the therapist with the elbow slightly flexed and palmar side up. In this position deep strokes can be applied from the wrist right up to the elbow though care should be taken with deep strokes around the inner crease of the elbow because the brachial artery and vein run superficially through this area. Friction can be applied around the flexor retinaculum and the palm of the hand can be massaged. Too much friction at any one time can cause inflammation which will only serve to worsen the condition. After massage the flexor muscles and tendons of the arm, wrist and fingers can be given a good stretch.Medical and surgical procedures may provide a quicker and more effective result to a chronic condition; eg surgical release of the median nerve.
The actual cause of carpal tunnel is not known but as it affects your wrist and not your neck I can't see a relation. There are very small bones in your wrist called your carpus which help give your wrist the range of movement it has. They start with your Scaphoid at the base of your Thumb and go on to 14 others.
Look at the links for more information.
A trapped nerve in the neck does not give carpal tunnel symptoms.

Can bursitis feel like lower back pain? Does being overweight cause it?

My lower back has been hurting for about 4 months. I've gone to a chiropractor at my gym for help. Recently I experienced intense pain travelling down my right leg while I was on vacation so I went to the doctor in another country. He took xrays and said that one of my discs was touching another one (possible herniated disc) but when I came to America my regular doctor said that it may be bursitis and has scheduled me for an MRI and gave me muscle relaxers and steriods. I'm confused since the pain seemed to originate in my lower back and am wondering if being overweight brought this on to me. Any doctors or people out there who know what I'm talking about? Advice please.
Answer:
You have not written your age, sex and occupation. All these are important for guessing an on-line diagnosis. Anyway, bursae are fluid filled small structures around our joints and bones which protect them. They function as ball-bearings or lubricants, facilitating joint movements. We have about a hundred bursae in our body. If frequent repetitive certain movements or exercises are done, these structures will be inflamed and more fluid accumulates in them. This is called bursitis. A lower back pain can be due to trochantric or ischial bursitis. Usually people who sit for a long time on a hard wooden chair develop ischial bursitis. The differential between discal problems and bursitis and other causes of low back pain can be done by a complete physical examination by an orthopedic surgeon and with imaging techniques like MRI or ultrasound. A good clinical test that you can do at home is to ask someone else to raise your leg slowly while you are lying down on your back and your knee is straight. He or she should look at the angle between your leg and horizon. If you have pain while he elevates your leg before 30 degrees, it can be a discal hernia. If the diagnosis is bursitis you should avoid repetitive motions of that area and you can take pain-killers and anti-inflammatory medications (if not contraindicated for you).
Bursitis of the low back? Not likely. Bursae are little fluid filled sacs that protect tendons from boney prominences...usually around the periperhal joints...shoulder, hip, knee. Bursitis of the hip can certainly cause pain to radiate down your leg, but will not cause back pain. Back pain that radiates to the legs is much more likely to be related to pathology of the disc (bulging, herniation) or osteophyte formation (boney development) around the neural foraemen. Did your US doctor schedule the MRI of the hip or low back...my guess would be the low back...so, you are on the right track anyway. I hope you get the answers you need.Good luck for a speedy recovery.
The pain running down your leg sounds like the pain I'm having. Does it originate from your buttock down the back of your leg? If it does this is called Sciatica and it's nerve pain and is caused by back problems usually discs. Weight can be a factor yes but if your doctor said that one disc is sitting atop another then even weight loss will not resolve this alone. I would see another doctor and forget the chiroprator, see a Pain specialist or ask to go to physical therapy first that's usually the first order of business. From the PT (physical therapist) you go see the Pain Specialist and from there.see me at my email. I'm going through the same thing.
Yeah weight could play a role in the pain.I once had bursitis in my shoulder.
I've had back pain for years and was finally diagnosed with bursitis of the hip last year. Did my hip hurt or did my back hurt? Well, I guess they both did, but I only realized how much my hip actually hurt after I received an intrabursal injection and I was able to walk without pain! (My hip definitely got worse after I gained weight - the heavier you are, the more pressure you put on your joints. )If you have a herniated disc, the MRI will should be diagnostic and the doc will know how to treat you properly afterward. If it's degenerative disc disease...welcome to getting older...and please be cautious about proper use of the muscle relaxers.

Can blowing your nose too hard cause damage?

My son always blows his nose really hard, can it damage his nose?
He has always suffered from nose bleeds too.
Thanks
Answer:
yep, i used to do it all the time, it can damage blood vessels and cause nosebleeds, and there was that story a few years ago (i think it was true) about that australian doctor who blew his nose too hard and died when he blew part of the frontal lobe of his brain out...eww, try telling that to your son.
but, i think he had a very thin membrane in his skull or something, and he blew it really hard.
Yeah it can damage the blood vessels in the nose..
i av herd it can damage ur blood vessel?x
yea it irrupts the blood and 99 per cent chance it can kill him if it lost too much blood and make him cockeyed broken nose etc.
Yes, you can "rupture" blood vessels and even worse, your eardrums. It is better to blow the nose more gently, more often than to try to remove the substances with one mighty effort for the very reasons you now realize will cause damage.
yes it can increase his chances of a sinus or ear infection. It isn't likely the cause of the bloody nose though, that would likely be from picking it.
Yes. When he was a little boy my dad burst his eardrum by blowing too hard.Don't panic: it heals right up again.I sympathise with your son. I *have* to blow hard to clear my nose, or anything like it. I don't know why, I suspect it's anatomical.I get nose bleeds too. Always have. And sneezing fits that go on and on. I'm 53.
skegy, blowing ur nose to hard can cause a, stroke, as well as a nose bleed. ifur son is nose bleeding a lot, take him to a nose, ear thr. dr. and he can fix the cause of the nose bleeding in his office. nose bleeds r mostly caused by a vein, close to the surfice, midway up in the nose. when blowing nose, it puts pressure on the vein and thats why it bleeds. but dont let what i say scare u, it can be fixed in dr. office, and tell ur son not to worry, there is no pain. god bless
No. As long as he isn't doing it because he's sticking objects up his nostrils, then you don't have a problem. The nose bleeds could be sign of a problem. I should mention it when he next sees his G.P. Nothing to fuss over though.
yes it is proven that you can break your ribs
Yes it can rupture veins..
Yes that may be why his nose bleeds blowing to hard.

Can blood be taken from anywhere?

I am going into hospital soon to have 4 teeth pulled. I have only been in hospital once when I was younger and it was horrible. The worst part was the blood test. I have a serious phobia of needles and ended up with 2 nurses and my mother holding me down. The pain was so severe (I'm sure due to shock) that I couldn't use my arm for 3 days and I kept fainting every time I thought about it. The operation itself wasn't as bad. The canula in the back of my hand hurt more, but I didn't get that dragging, sickening feeling I had with my arm - if you've seen that puppet scene in Nightmare On Elm Street you'll know what I mean! It literally felt as though they were pulling my vein out! I've been told I may just be unusually sensitive inside my arm, which is why it hurt so much. It's been over 10 years now and I still have nightmares. My teeth really hurt though and are impacted, so I need this op. So, two questions... 1) Will I need a blood test? 2) Can I have it done in my hand instead?
Answer:
Yes blood can be taken from your hand.If you are nervous about pain when being injected with needles ask the Dr or Nurse before hand to numb the area with EMLA cream. It is usually put on the area 10-15 minutes before the needle is injected. This way you shouldn't feel a thing and if you do it would be VERY minimal. As well as this helping by numbing the area it might also help you psychologically? you wont be expecting as much pain and therefore maybe make it feel a little less dramatic for you. Either way I feel it is worth a shot. You said that the canula hurt more in your hand. This could have been from having a big needle inserted. You could always ask to have the smaller needle inserted so that maybe your pain will be reduced?
I always have the smallest needle and can quite comfortably have the canula in my hand for 3 days.
Good luck :0) - I hope that everything works out for you!
yes and yesgood luck with the op sweetie xxx
I'm sure it can be taken from anywhere and it probably is the fear which is making it worse for you. If you need to be anesthetized then you cold just ask for the gas form.
Arm or Wrist - Technology has moved on now and it's not the case of a needing huge needles anymore. They will probably use a 'butterfly needle' which is very small and only about 2cm long. It looks like a butterfly due to the small plastic wings it has at the top each side.
Yes, blood can be taken from the foot and the scalp in unusual cases. And taking it from the back of the hand is often practiced. But what I really suggest for you is, talk to your Dr and explain that you are phobic of blood being taken, not just a bit but a LOT and ask if you can have the area numbed before the test is done. In paediatrics, they are able to place cream over the arm (or where ever) for 30 minutes to numb the area prior to having the blood test taken. Ask if you can have this also and then at least, you will know it wont hurt and you can concentrate on breathing to get yourself through the rest of the procedure. I suspect as your phobia is deep rooted, you will need to do some breathing exercises because even numb, you may still react. Tell yourself it will not hurt in like a mantra or meditation kind of way and this may help.Good Luck with the Op
Yes sweetie, just request it, i had to have a canula two weeks ago and they put it in the back of my hand as the veins there were better. Plus my daughter was really poorly before xmas and her veins kept collapsing where they had to take so much blood and give her transfusions, she ended up with canulas in her foot and head so they can do it pretty much anywhere i think. Try not to worry, and why not ask for some gas and air first too relax you before the needles. Or ask for some cream to numb your hand, my daughter hates needles to and they put some cream on her hand for an hour to completely numb the area so she can just look away and it's done before she knows it.
Not from a stone!Kidding, trying to lighten the mood! If you explain your fears to the docs they will do whatever they can to make you feel at ease.Good luck.
Don't panic (i know that's easy for me to say)but you might just have had a crap nurse taking the blood,if its done properly then it's painless.
You probably need a blood a blood test for various reasons.
Yes you can ask for it to be taken from somewhere other than your arm.
Just explain to them that you have a phobia and they will do their utmost to help you.
You're a big girl now, so chin up eh.
Yes, I had blood taken from the back of my hand when they could not find a decent vein in my arm
I'l just go directly for the questions you asked.1) Possibly, though I would be inclined to guess no. They would catch any abscess through the x-ray usually. If they do a blood test, they would be checking for infection, most likely. I don't believe that's necessary or standard practice for simple impacted teeth.2) Yes, you can. You can help the process along by staying well hydrated that day. That will keep your circulatory volume up... making the veins an easier target. Generally speaking, for blood draws, a butterfly needle or Luer barrel with needle adaptor are used.Be sure to remind the nurse to wait until the alcohol has dried. Some are inconsiderate and won't take the time for it to dry... which tends to cause the venipuncture to sting more.
i hade 4 teeth out in hospital aswell but it was supposed to be 5 so make sure they take out the right amount!! but dont worry, they didnt take any blood from me. i dont think:|
you'll be fine.
good luck
I don't see why they would have to take any blood from you when your only having teeth out.
You will probably need a cannula in your arm, and just request to have it in the back of your hand as apposed to your inner elbow. Also when they're inserting it ask at the time if you will need any bloods taken as directly after the cannula is inserted and before anything is put down it blood can be taken from here without the need for further stabs.
Also if you tell them you were sensitive before they will be able to numb the area on your hand first before inserting the cannula.
Good luck with the op :)
you may need a blood test not sure yes you can have it done in your hand also you can get a gel or cream to put on before they do the op this is so you dont feel the needle ask about it at the hospital

Can being pigeon-toed cause pain down your leg?

I've had some back problems slipped discs and now sciatica. My left foot turns in pretty badly. I kind of don't think about it and somebody told me yesterday that I walk like my brother. I just wondered if my foot turning in could be the cause of my leg pain. What can I do?
Answer:
yes, because being pigion toed means your inner muscles in your lower legs are to tight. therefore that may be way your having leg pain. also if you have sciatic the pain can radiate down your leg. try stretching and maybe see a massage therapist.
Your toe can definitely be causing back problems. I recommend you see a doctor of chiropractic medicine as soon as possible. They can often help with alignments for your spine and give you advice about the toe Problem.

Can Back pain in general be Passed from parents?

Answer:
There is no link between genetics and generalized back pain (and even in cases of scoliosis and rheumatoid arthritis the probability of a genetic link is very small).Considering that 80% of the population will have back pain at some point - it's a structural thing that comes from walking upright, standing on hard surfaces, and straining the back. That's not genetic .. it's environmental. Perhaps poor lifting habits, tendency to psychologically gear yourself to the "onset" of such things because your parents and/or grandparents suffer, or stressful (in a back-related sense) professions are more likely to be passed down than the possibility of bad back genes.
nopehttp://www.tensproducts.com/
Well, the actual pain cannot be transferred, but the conditions which contribute to the pain, such as weak discs can be inherited.
depends how many piggy back rides you give them
i don't believe it is, i believe its wear and tear on the body, not bending or lifting properly, so take care of your back, once hurt its never the same
“my memory foam mattress from novaform was bought online…it was very durable and comfy to sleep in…stiffness and back pain was never a problem again…novaform memory foam mattress really is a good value for money…”

Can anyone tell me what this is?

I have resently had some lower right pelvic pain and it felt like a sharp object trieing to push through my skin and it would throb really bad when i would set down or lay down on the area . My Doctor had a vaginal sonogram done on me and it came back normal. But some times it still bothers me. Has anyone have the same problems?
Answer:
I get a pain on either side when I'm ovulating. It's the egg coming down and saying "impregnate me!". The next month it's on the other side,(the other ovary.) It happens 14 or 15 days before my period. As you can imagine, it was very easy to get pregnant! Since your pain is only on the right side, I'm sure you've ruled out your appendix, right? You may be ovulating from your right ovary only. Then it would be every other month about 2 weeks before your period. If it's bothering you more often than that, I'd go to another gynacologist. Good luck, kiddo!! :) -L.
Ultrasound , unfortunately , cannot see or image anything involving the colon . Seeing as your Pelvis ultrasound was normal , this means that the uterus and ovaroes were found to have nothing sonographically abnormal .but there can still be issues with the colon , like colitis , or diverticulitis , or perhaps even hernia. Also , ultrasound cannot equivically diagnose endometriosis which can also cause pain ; and can only be definitively diagnosed via laprascopic evaluation . Another option , perhaps you had a cyst , and your pain was the cyst rupturing...which is what happens. By the time you had your ultrasound there may have been NO evidence left of it's presence , but that doesnt mean it wasnt there. Ultrasound can only tell you whats in front of you at THAT moment , not what was there , or what will be . Ruptured cysts can be sonographically invisable as little as 48 hours after . I do you hope you get to feeling better :-)Good luck :-)

I get muscular pain in my pelvic area from sitting on my behind at the couch with the laptop especially last few days since I have been getting addicted to ByeDr.com! I am better today because of walking a bit, stretching in between etc. Hope yours is also just muscular..and not anything serious!

Can anyone tell me what this blister type thing is on my daughters foot?

It is round and has black lines underneath it. It has holes in it the shape of a 6 shooter gun. See a pic here - http://www.divshare.com/download/1198737... Thanks, John
Answer:
it's definately a wart. i had one exactly like that on my finger. if its pretty big, using OTC wart burning methods might not be enough because of the size. you could try it, but it might take 3,4,5 tries to get it off. i would go to a physcian and have them freeze/cut it off or recommend what you could do.
Planter's wart perhaps? Take a better picture with you to the pharmasist they might be able to help you more.good luck and clip her toe nails...
could be some kind of infection (?)
the picture is a little blurry on my computer, but it looks to me like a wart or some sort of infection. You should probably take her to a pediatrician.
It is definately a WART!! I used the over-the-counter liquid stuff and then covered it with duct tape when my son had a wart on his foot. Takes a week or two but works wonders.
It's a plantars' wart and over the counter stuff will not work. Go to your doctor so they can freeze it off. Plantar's warts go very deep and can be difficult to remove which is why it's best to see the doctor.
I cant see the picture b/c im at work and the site is blocked... but if its a wart like the others said... I went to the doctor multiple times to have my frozen and it didnt work.. i put Tea Tree Oil on it for a week and itw as gone... 3 years of freezing for NO reason... I highly recommend tea tree oil!
That is definately a Plantars Wart. Have a Dr burn it off, as they can spread to the rest of her feet or everyone elses.
blurry, but probably a wart.

Can anyone tell me what my shoulder pain is?

I know for a fact it isnt a muscle because i have a very strong muscular rotator cuff.Ok so this is how i feel the pain. I am a pitcher for starters and i throw a good amount of the time. But i can still throw the baseball very hard. Say i am standing up and my arms to my side. I raise my arm forward in front parallel to the ground. When i turn my hand over like the palm facing outwards the pain occurs around the joint area. Please help
Answer:
When your arm is in front of you (parallel to the ground) and your turn it so that your hand is facing the sky, it's called "pronation."There are a number of things that could be wrong, and having a strong rotator cuff doesn't exclude the possibility that there's something wrong with the rotator cuff (although, there are about a billion other things that could be wrong, too).If you're on a sports team, you no doubt have access to an athletic trainer (who is, no doubt, supervised by a sports medicine physician).Consult the trainer -- he'll probably RICE it . . .Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation. You may consider seeing an orthopedist, many of them specialize in treatment of sports-related injuries.
There are too many things that could be involved here. For one thing, if your rotator cuff is very strong, the imbalance could have injured the opposing tendon. You could have a small tear in it, or in one of the muscles of your upper arm. Your pitching arm is too important to not get it tended to right away, so check with the team doc ASAP.
Have you had an acute injury to it recently? A fall, hitting someone else's shoulder with yours? At any rate, just because you feel your rotator cuff is very strong, doesn't mean there isn't something wrong with it. I have just had surgery on my right shoulder. I, too, felt I had a strong shoulder. Such was not the case. When they did the MRI, with the dye in my shoulder, they saw a whole bunch of things wrong in there. I play hockey, and had taken a couple of good shots to the shoulder, and I have had the same pain you described. Three separate occasions. I didn't have it fixed after the first two times (STUPID! ) beacuse I thought the same as you. Now, just recently,I injured it again. The doctor told me had I had it fixed when the injury wasn't that bad, I wouldn't be in this position. Arm in a sling for 8 weeks, rehab for up to 9 months. Yes, I said 9 months. They found a completely torn rotator cuff, torn a c joint (separated shoulder grade 7) and a torn bicep muscle.Talk about pain. Go see a doctor, have an MRI, and be around to pitch for a long time. Take care of that arm! Don't make the choice for yourself. Leave it to the professionals.Good luck.Stevo.
Sounds a lot like tendinitis in the supraspinatus muscle, or possibly in the biceps tendon just before it attaches to your shoulder blade. When you rotate your arm the way you describe you are pushing the tendon into the acromion (on your shoulder blade) and since it is inflammed you feel pain. I am willing to bet you have strong rotator cuff muscles but you probably need to work on the flexibility of your shoulder...most pitchers have a tight posterior shoulder capsule which can alter the biomechanics in your throwing. Also, you should have your pitching mechanics examined (with slow motion video from the front and side) to make sure you do not have a flaw that could be placing undue stress on the shoulder.
Sounds like Rotator Cuff to me...or it could be tendonitis. You should have it checked out. By continually pitching, you can cause further problems. Apply ice to the area 3-4 times/day but do not place the ice directly on the skin. You can place a pillowcase or small towel over the area first. have you tried taking an Motrin/Advil ( Ibuprofen ). Definitely, see your Doc. I hope that this helps and Good Luck !!

Can anyone tell me what i can do for a broken toe?

about 3 weeks ago i hit my little toe on the chair in the kitchen and broke my little toe it hurts like heck i know if i go to the er they wont do anything for a broken toe but everyone keeps stepping on it and im trying to stay out of everyones way where they cant step on it again any suggestions for me thanks.
Answer:
See a doctor as soon as possible if you think that you have a broken bone in your foot or toe. Until your appointment, keep weight off the leg and apply ice to reduce swelling. Use an ice pack or wrap the ice in a towel so it does not come into direct contact with the skin. Apply the ice for no more than 20 minutes at a time. Take an analgesic such as aspirin or ibuprofen to help relieve the pain. Wear a wider shoe with a stiff sole. Rest is the primary treatment for stress fractures in the foot. Stay away from the activity that triggered the injury, or any activity that causes pain at the fracture site, for three to four weeks. Substitute another activity that puts less pressure on the foot, such as swimming. Gradually, you will be able to return to activity. Your doctor or coach may be able to help you pinpoint the training errors that caused the initial problem so you can avoid a recurrence. The bone ends of a displaced fracture must be realigned and the bone kept immobile until healing takes place. If you have a broken toe, the doctor will "buddy-tape" the broken toe to an adjacent toe, with a gauze pad between the toes to absorb moisture. You should replace the gauze and tape as often as needed. Remove or replace the tape if swelling increases and the toes feel numb or look pale. If you are diabetic or have peripheral neuropathy (numbness of the toes), do not tape the toes together. You may need to wear a rigid flat-bottom orthopaedic shoe for two to three weeks. If you have a broken bone in your forefoot, you may have to wear a short-leg walking cast, a brace, or a rigid, flat-bottom shoe. It could take six to eight weeks for the bone to heal, depending on the location and extent of the injury. After a week or so, the doctor may request another set of X-rays to ensure that the bones remain properly aligned. As symptoms subside, you can put some weight on the leg. Stop if the pain returns. Surgery is rarely required to treat fractures in the toes or forefoot. However, when it is necessary, it has a high degree of success.
fix it
err hard toed shoes?? what on earth can you be doing for everyone to be stepping on it? can you borrow a walking stick and if it does keep people away ,then bash them with it?? lol
if it gets really bad then stop indoors for a few days and rest with it up, otherwise rest assured it will improve- i have broken my little toes a number of times (long dull story!) and it hurts but not for too long
Tape the broken toe to the next with plaster (the strip kind) it will take about 6 weeks but it will get better if in doubt go to A/E
I have continually fracturing toes so yes I sympathise it does hurt like heck. If you went to the doc's all they can do is strap it up to the next toe with tape so it heals straight other than that they say to wear wide fitting open toe sandals so there is no pressure on it. I have to use a stick to walk so I use that to keep people off!! lol
Nothing
Broke one of the middle toes few years back, can't do anything for them except take strong pain killers and try to stay out of the crowds.
Just seems that everyone is stepping on it, you just realise how much it happens moe when you are in agony.Hope it gets better soon!
Get Medical tape and tape it to the toe next to it. If your worried about people stepping all over it use two layers as padding.
RICE
R: rest
I: Ice( 20 min, on and off...dont put it on longer than 20 min or you WILL get frost bite)
C: compress
E: elevateHope you get better=]
I fractured my pinky toe a few years back and they wanted to cast up to me knee! I told them no way and they just bandaged it to the toe next to it and i wore a moon boot for a little while until i could walk on it again.
try taping the toe to your next toe as that is meant to help it heal.
i did exactly the same as you have done but you have to let it heal on its own there is nothing the hospital can do and yes it is painful//mine was a month before i could consider it OK good luck
you cant do nothing for a broken toe keep it clean and let the brusing come out wear tight socks
The best thing you can do is to tape your toe to the next toe to it. That will act as a splint for your broken toe. Then wear loose fitting shoes and keep people away from it.
Hi there,Yeah I know the prob. I broke my middle toe when I fell over and everyone did the same! 3 weeks is only a short time for this injury, I hate to say it but it will take longer for it to heal.Doctors cannot put plaster etc. on toes and they do naturally heal themselves. Firstly you need to rest it as much as poss. I was given a pair of crutches from my local hospital which was great as they served the purpose of keeping the weight off my foot as well as making a good weapon for tapping at people who got too close!!. And dogs for that matter.Once the swelling has gone down, try to use the toe in walking and putting weight on it as much as poss. to exercise the muscles in the joint.Hope this helps!!

Can anyone tell me or show me a site on how to tape a wrist?

My friend needs his wrist taped before a basketball game. It was broken and just got out of a cast... Thanks
Answer:
Unless you're a certified athletic trainer, physical therapist, or a physician, you should NOT be dealing a fractured wrist fresh out of a cast. Your friend should see his doctor before trying to play sports again! Wrist fractures are serioussss!
I agree with Tanya If not taped right he might injure badly.

Can anyone tell me how do you become a licensed body piercer in the state of West Virgina or Maryland?

Can anyone tell me a site that shows a picture of methadone tablets. My doctor is going to put me on them.?

I want to know what it looks like and how big it is. I have a terrible time getting pills to go down!
Answer:
http://www.opt.pacificu.edu/ce/catalog/1...http://www.drugrehab.co.uk/images/methad...http://daily.greencine.com/archives/meth...
It shouldn't matter. Just crush it up or cut it in half.
Don't worry about it. Methadone tablets come in lots of sizes and colors, but the good news for you is that you have to dissolve them and drink the fluid anyway. That's just how you take it, so don't worry about getting the pills down.
http://www.pharmascience.com/pms_en/heal... has all kinds of them.
you can also go to a site that not only shows you the medication but full write up complete with side effects.go to http://www.medlineplus.org
It all depends on what pharmacy produces the methadone. I've worked in Chemical Dependency for 33 years and have seen many different varieties of this medication. They have pill cutters that you can use to divide the pill into 2 or 4 pieces if you have difficulty swallowing them. Dont forget to ask your doctor for instructions on how and when to take this med.

Can anyone take a guess as to what is wrong with my shoulder?

I typically avoid playing sports. However, I discovered racquetball and loved it so I joined a league and played about once a week for a year or so. At some point my shoulder started hurting. As the weeks progressed, the pain would last longer and longer, until it would hurt for almost the entire week leading up to the next game. There was no moment while playing where I can recall hitting a wall too hard or any sort of sudden "YEOW!" moment. I took a break for a couple of weeks, yet when i came back it hurt within a couple of swings. I went to a family physician and he guessed it was probably tendinitis. I went to my college's trainer, who looked at it very briefly and guessed tendinitis as well. I then quit the league, and probably hadn't played in a month until I played a casual tennis games with some friends, leading to pain within the first swing. I don't think it's tendinitis. Keep in mind, I almost NEVER played sports my entire life and I'm only 24 years old.
Answer:
I would guess either Rotator cuff dysfunction with a possible small tear, a labral tear, or impingment.Explanation: Rotator cuff dysfunction is like tendinitis of one or more of the shoulder muscles and can result from either overuse or misuse. The muscle is inflammed and probably a little frayed. It can sometimes calm down with rest but may require physical therapy or worst case scenario - surgery. A labral tear is a disruption of the ring of cartilage (labrum) around the socket part of the ball and socket joint of the shoulder. It can be degenerative (happened over a period of time) or traumatic (happened suddenly). This won't get better with rest or therapy, usually only surgery.Impingement is kinda like the precursor to rotator cuff problems. The canal where one of the muscles passes is small and causing the muscle and bursa (fluid filled sack that reduces friction) to get irritated. This can improve with therapy or a steroid injection.I recommend seeing a Primary Care Sports Physician or an Orthopedist.
I did something like that a while back. I waited a while before going to the doctor because it just hurt. I went there about a week later and got x-rays. I turned out that i had fractured my collorbone near the shoulder. I would get x-rays if i were you or get an mri
GOOD LUCK!
Go to a doc that specializes in sports injuries, you could have a rotor cuff problem.

Can anyone suggest a treatment for a 3 year old girl born immature and not able to sit on her own??

My brother has a daughter of 3 years old who was borm immature and still she cannot sit on her own.Treatment is going on and now she is tring move and is able to sit with a support.Because of this he is very stressed and don't know what to do so that she is able to walk on her own.
Answer:
The only option is continual physical therapy to practice different muscular and brain coordination activities. There is no magic cure. You can't change some birth defects. You just start where you are, and work with that. Line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little and there a little.. Rejoice in what victories you do have. And don't worry about what "might be".
I am so sorry. You didn't give a diagnosis? was it CP?
I suggest looking for another doctor.
I agree, premature borns are usually a bit slower with motor skills but at 3 she should be atleast sitting without support. Please encourage him to have her checked out by another pediatrician
you mean premature?
I think u should see some other pediatrician and she needs physiotherapy.

Answer:
if u r in south india than go to T-nagar, chennai, and meet dr sankar who done phd in accupuncture, i got treatment for my uncle's daughter for the same problem, now she is alright, god bless her
I don't know about treatment, but there is a seat called "bumbo" which babies can sit in and be upright even before they are old enough to do it on their own. You can get them at places like BabiesRUs or Target.
do you mean born PRE mature??
I take it she is seen at a hospital for any problems she has, they will know best when she will get control and be able to sit unaided.
My daughter was born with a growth problem and she was late sitting up, she sat at 1yr though. With your neice it's going to be a case of wait and see how she developes, and hopefully she will be able to sit alone and eventually walk
just calm down..
Leave it to God she has had enough treatement I think... when now she can sit using support, she would herself gradually gain the venture in to without supports. just wait for the moment. It would take a time. But time is the best medicine. Just take care of her and shower all love. We pray to GOD, so that she gets well versed soon.
get her a boppy pillow, it will help her sit up on her own without someone right there.
Hi, I'm not sure of a treatment but there are special chairs now that are made of foam where kids 8-12 months old can sit in.Perhaps they make them for older children? OR the company may take a more custom order.
she need daily systematic physio therapy treatment from good physiotherapist. i personally saw a case whose same problem is solved (but near about 3 to 4 year that father came regularly

Can anyone share their opinion on CIGNA health insurance or compare it to BC/BS?

Answer:
I prefer Cigna to BC/BS. I work as a medical biller dealing with insurance companies all day. My experience shows that Cigna offers more in terms of procedures covered, prescription benefits, and availiable providers. BC/BS offers lower premiums, but usually with a high deductible and limited prescription benefits.
I like Cigna better than BC/BS. BC/BS questions more things and you have to call them to make sure they cover routine things like allergy medicines. I was not happy with them.Cigna has been better and their premiums are lower than they were with BC/BS.

Can anyone identify an knee injury?

Hi i have been skating for a while now and i continue to ride regular which means my left leg is in front well whenever i fall it happens to be on my left knee which resulted in a pop in my knee whenever i bend it. I have about 6 scars on the left side of my knee from each injury.
Answer:
You may have the same problem I have. I have a disease known as Osgood-Schlatters Disease. I have the exact same problem. I have been to the doctor about it. It is something you can inherit from somewhere in your family. It cannot be healed. You just learn to live with it. It gets better over time. My mother is 37 and still has it from when she was 14. She says as you get older the less painful it becomes. Osgood Schlatters disease is a very common cause of knee pain in everyone. It is a condition where the bony protrusion below the knee (called the tibial tuberosity or tubercle) becomes inflamed, painful and swollen.I hope this helped!
It could be nothing, depedning on your pain levels.Or you might have dislodged some cartilage, or developed tendinitis in the patellar tendon. Best to get an x ray or MRI by a doctor.
well the fact that it makes a popping sound when you bend it means that the knee could be slightly out of alignment because the cartilage are obstructing the movement of the joint which would result in the popping sound. you should get it checked out by a doctor to try correct the problem as to prevent further damage.

Can anyone help?

im 37 weeks and ive been feeling rather grotty today my bellys churning and i feel sick with achy pains around my shoulders feel like im either coming down with the flu or a stomack bug does anyone know what it could be got a bit of a headache aswell
Answer:
Sounds as if your blood pressure may be up ma'am. Best to get checked by a doc if you're 37 weeks
I would call your OB just to be sure. It could be anything. Could be related to yoru blood pressure, baby getting ready to come early, something you ate bad, or the flu. I suggest giving your OB a call just in case.

Can anyone help?

im 37 weeks pregnant and ive been feeling rather grotty today my bellys churning and i feel sick with achy pains around my shoulders feel like im either coming down with the flu or a stomack bug does anyone know what it could be got a bit of a headache aswell
Answer:
sounds like a chill but i would go to your doctor and be checked out just to be on the safe side - take care
You need to get yourself checked out with the doctor, particularly if you are getting headaches - get your blood pressure checked out asap.
call ur doc asap.
If the doctor checks you and you are basically normal then try a small diet change. Add these and tell him your adding if you like:
Green leafy vegetables
Tuna, Salmon, or other fish (fish oil caps if you need to)
5 to 10 Boiled Eggs per week (eggs are one of the most compete foods known)
Chicken gizzards are full of the stuff you need
http://www.foodgenius.com/index.cgi?acti...
Orange Juice
Being in sinlight makes Vitamine D. Get in the sun.
Raw milk it 10X more nutritous then the Hood junk.
The milk debate is a matter of fat wallets, I think. See
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/raw_milk...
Your Ob would know best if this is related to the pregnancy. Headache along with the belly ache and sickness sounds like blood pressure related and pains in shoulders may just be from your posture changing.

Can anyone help?

Am on tablets for High Blood pressure. Over the past couple of weeks have been having what could be panic attacks - unexpected 'wooshing' sensation in head followed by weakness (maybe because it has frightened me!!) does anyone know if any of these symptoms could be related to the tablets? been on them since December, not experienced anything before now.
Answer:
I am on high blood pressure tablets and don't experience any side effects. I would go back to your doctors because the tablets you are taking may not be stronger enough to reduce your blood pressure
Beta-blockers control the speed and force of heart beats by blocking the action of hormones such as adrenaline that make the heart beat faster and more vigorously.
They are effective in preventing angina. They can also lower raised blood pressure, reduce the risk of further heart attacks and help control abnormal heart rhythms.
Side-effects include constriction of the air passages and small blood vessels, leading to cold hands and feet. They can conceal low blood sugar levels in diabetics - "selective" beta-blockers are less likely to do this than other forms of the drug.
Tiredness or fatigue may also be experienced
Please see the web page for more details on Atenolol.

i would go to your GP first thing in the morning and get it checked out,
I'm on tablets for high blood pressure, well, my doctor has tried me on a few! Currently I'm on Doxazosin and been on Bisoprol and two types of calcium antagonists. The only problems I have had are headaches, debilitating tireness with all of them, swollen feet and ankles, fluid retention, and weight gain. I doubt very much that these new symptoms you are experiencing are being caused by the tablets now, particularly as you have been on them, presumably on the same dose since December, However, the dose may need increasing. Are you doing anything different from usual? Have you found that something is causing you to be stressed and are you worrying about something? This can cause panic attack type symptoms. Have you been taking any new tablets or medicines in the last couple of weeks that might be interacting with your BP tabs? Is there a new food that you are eating or something new your are drinking that may be having causing you to have a bad reaction? If I were you I would go back to the doctor as soon as possible and get these symptoms checked out. Please don't waste anymore time wondering - your health is so important, and your doctor is the best person to help you to sort this out. I hope you will soon get better.
I think your Doctor needs to change your medication, the tablets you're on don't sound strong enough...don't mess about with something like blood-pressure ,make an appointment to see him right away.
