Bleeding from rectum?

I've had rectal bleeding from using the bathroom 3 times in the last 6 hours. Each time the blood has been bright red and I woke up this morning with my kidneys aching a little. I thought this was due to holding off going to the bathroom too long while looking for clothes, after a night of drinking. My stomach is cramping a little but other wise I feel fine. I'm not dizzy or disorientated at all.

You need to get this checked out as quickly as possible. Could be just a stomach ulcher, could be much worse.

This sounds like EXACTLY the kind of time you should get yourself to the Emergency Room quickly. Do Not drive yourself if you can help it incase you should pass out due to blood loss.

id would go to the hospital to have it checked out if your actually bleeding internally but it could be from too much wiping as your anus is a sensitive area and abrasive paper and excessive wiping could cause it to bleed

Drinking alcohol? Be careful because you might be bleeding from your stomach or liver... a friend of the family woke up bleeding rectally and he died like 2 weeks later... it was due to his alcohol abuse. He felt fine as well so we were not alarmed and it was a big shock to all of us and his family.

well sometimes drinking causes diarrhea.which in turn with cause your rectum muscles to be over used cause stress or strain them...the kidneys most likely also from dehydration which alcohol also causes..the fact that the blood is bright red means that it is local bleeding , when it is internal it is more of a dark dark brown or black stool.
I would definitely think about all of these symptoms the next time you want to have a few cocktails.

Go, go, go to ER. Bright red means lower GI track. Coffee ground stools is upper GI. GI bleeding is serious.

It could be just hemorrhoids or you had a big bowel and stretched and broke the skin in that area. But if you have concern you should seek medical attention.
