Can i make my adderall xr realese like regular adderall.?

Answer:
They say crush it and snot it. If you do this your heading for trouble. Hope you don't hurt your self
Why? Are you looking for a high? Go back to your psychiatrist ASAP, but you know that already don't you? Adderall was prescribed in a slow-release form for a good reason. Maybe you should think about why this is so...The answer to your question is a definite NO! This is why it is prescribed in two forms - slow release and regular. You've conveniently withheld your reason for wanting to increase the way this medication is metabolized by your body. Again, ask yourself why you omitted such a crucial bit of information. You cannot change the way a medication is metabolized by the body. If you're not happy with your medication, not achieving positive results, or have any unusual side-effects, it's only logical to consult your psychiatrist isn't it?If your Doctor saw the need for regular Adderall, and prescribed it in a slow release form, you'd be happy why? You need to see him ASAP. You're desperation to get a quick fix of Adderall, suggests this may be leading to drug abuse, and subsequently a potential Addiction.STOP NOW! Tell your Dr the truth, and get help before it kills your soul, and ultimately TAKES YOUR LIFE!
WOW Grace! That was quite a post. Quick tip.seek firest to understand then to be understood... I would assume that applies to speaking as well as typing. I am responding because I feel it can be a legitimate question. To save time, lets consider 2 different scenarios.
Scenario 1-
You want a quick fix or high. In this case I would say..no. stay away from it. I have a family member who has ruined lives by abusing drugs.
Scenario 2-
You want the xr to give you the same feeling regular adderral does. Because of the way you asked your question it seems probable you already know the way regular adderall is released or makes you feel. Lets say your doc prescribed you a combination of reg and xr and you had some of the xr and not any of the reg in this case I can see how someone who would never abuse drugs would question this possibility. Because it is a c2 drug you must see your doc monthly. so i can see the possibility or even probability of this happening due to procrastination or doc being on vacation etc..
Grace~ would you have responded the same way if the question was "Can I chew an aspirin to help my headache go away faster?"
Lets not assume everyone is a drug addict..
