Can i get my tongue pierced if i got a sore throat?

Answer:
I wouldn't recommend it. The bacteria in your throat is liable to spread to your tongue piercing
it麓s recomendable not to do it, for health measures.
dude i advise u not to!
yes if you haven't swallowed your tounge.
I would be free and clear of all infections and illness if it was me..i had mine peirced 7 years ago..trust me you can wait a week or two. see your doctor and get antibiotics
You can but its not a good idea.
Go ahead it shouldn't matter.my wife had a headache when she had hers done..
I certainly wouldn't recommend it. Your body needs to be strong to fight infection with the tongue being pierce, don't add on to that with a sore throat.
i would wait until you get better because you can get a really bad infection, get the peircing oerson sick, or just have really bad pain...
Absolutely. If you have the flu or something serious, it might be best to wait, but if its just a sore throat from allergies or something you should be fine. Just make sure you use the mouthwash and keep it very very clean the first couple of weeks. Follow all of the instructions they give you because a tongue piercing is not something to **** around with.
I would not recommend it wait until it heals
I would like to take this opportunity to say you should think twice about piercing your tongue as this causes an increase in saliva and thus weakens gums in addition to the increased risk of infection.Depending on your age, occupation, this may have a detrimental affect on your ability to acquire greater things in life.
Wouldn鈥檛 recommend it, it might cause infection to occur. Might as well wait a couple of days.
Why the crap would you get a a tounge piercing. Thats dumb.
It wouldn't be advisable...you run a very high risk of the piercing becoming infected.Wait till the throat is better.
Of course, you CAN do it. The question is whether or not you SHOULD do it.
I wouldn't get my tongue pierced at all. It's a bad idea. Would you rather have your tongue pierced and get an infection and get your tongue removed or deal without it pierced? think about all of the bacteria in your mouth before you go an put a hole in your tongue.
yes, your sour throat has nothing to do with your tongue.but keep in mind that (my friend had her tongue pierced) all you can eat the first three days is ice!btw, it doessn't hurt so much to have it done, just afterwards it feels weird and is hard to eat (so ive heard)oh and make sure the piecing is all the way through the tongue, because if its just an on top thing, it hurts for weeks!
Some places will allow it, however many will turn you down.
THis is generally because if it spreads and becomes a serious issue, they could be sued.Besides, It is a pretty unwise thing to do anyway.
Infections can cause further irritation, and cause very dangerous and unwelcome stinging from the bacteria in your throat entering your tongue.
still, your throat is sure to clear up pretty quick, so i wouldnt worry about it!
why would you even ask a question like that? if you have to ask that, then obviously you have no business getting it done.
use a little common sense. when you get your tongue pierced, a lot of times your tongue swells which makes it hard to swallow. when you have a sore throat it is hard to swallow. also all the infection from a sore throat will go right into the piercing, and that needs to be as sterile and infection free as possible.
so, therefore the answer is do not get your tongue pierced with a sore throat.
Contact your piercing establishment and ask. You probably have a fever accompanying your sore throat. My prediction is that they'll say "wait until you're better."
