Can i refuse to work with a colleague who has body odour?

Answer:
You can, but I'd get someone else involved, contact your H.R department for advice on how to handle the situation.
No, but you can bring in an air freshner and keep spraying the office to mask the stench. You need to be more tolerant of other people (as it may be an underlying medical condition with your colleague) and who knows, he/she may get the hint if you keep spraying the office space that you share.
You can ask to assigned someone else but no you cannot refuse to work with them. It could be a medical condition causing the BO. Have you supervisor talk to the person about it and let them know they think there may be a problem and suggest the see a doc to get it checked out.
well in the uk it is a health and safety issue.. tell ur manager they do have to do something
You can, but it's a matter of whether you can without jeopardising your job. Have a word with your Human Resources person - or is it them that smells?!
no but you can sue
no really you can
Doubt it. Get a life and worry about the more important things in the world.
well you can but you could get fired lol just ask him politly if he wouldnt mind puttin deoderant on or taking a shower
U can resign
every dog smells his own *** first.
Some people have medical conditions which attribute to this so be sensitive in your judgement as it might not be due to lack of personal hygiene. If you can avoid confrontation on such a minor issue then please do, but if it is a serious problem then try talking to them in private away from people but try your hardest not to be offensive.
no u cant, just hint. like can u smell that etc, but be nice, they should get the hints, i work with some like that i did hint , they got it but in a way that did not upset them and we are good work mates,
Hah, Try and Sit Somewhere Else =]
I gave a member of my staff the opportunity to deal with it them self , I posed a question which gave them 2 options with out embarrassment . 1 ) had we the company supplied them with sufficient amount of uniform for everyday use 2 ) did they have a medical condition they should need to see the doctor about . They took the second option
