Can stress give you tension aches in back of neck?

have been having this achy feeling in my head...what can it be? it's like a pressure
Answer:
Yes, that's a very common reaction to stress.
It's really amazing what stress can do to your body. That achy feeling is probably related to stress. I get headaches body ache and just plain old sick. Finding a way to relieve stress will be really helpful.I sometimes do yoga or just some deep breathing exercises. Exercise does wonders as well.
It sure can. In fact, when my mother starts to get a tension headache- or a migraine triggered by stress- I have to start by rubbing her feet and working up to more or less push the pain out- for lack of a better way to describe it. And I have to spend a lot of time relaxing her shoulders, neck, and scalp.
Stress is a culprit in causes of various aliments, pain and migrain, back ache, nausea, loss or gain of weight, hormone upsets to name but a few.
Yes stress can most certainly be the cause of the ache in the back of the neck, as can posture, lack of water intake, and going in front of the computer for long periods without a break.
I would recommend you seek alternative help from either a doctor to state wheather it is most likely caused from one of the above before seeing what can be done in alleviating this discomfort.
Stress has a way of affecting our lives. It would create symptoms like headache, pain in the neck and in the back. But stress may not be the only cause of such pain. There are a number of diseases or health disorders that may be causing the pain (such as fibromyalgia, tension headache, back injury due to bad posture, etc.). It is best that you consult your doctor for this if the pain persists.
