Can my boyfriend stop taking Cymbalta completely?

My boyfriend has been on Cymbalta for about a month now and its making him crazy! He took it for his back pain and it helped a bunch but he's having severe anxiety problems. He's crying about everything and he doesnt know why. His blood pressure is getting higher and he's waking up all through the night with chills and sweats.
He's very nervousy and shaky now.
A few days ago, he decided he'd had enough so he just stopped taking them. Now, his blood pressure is getting even worse and his doctor cant see him until monday and they wont give him any advice!Please help!

he can't stop taking it cold turkey or he will get MUCH worse.
he is going to have to wait to see the doctor until Monday, or if he totally can't stand it, he should to Urgent Care if his blood pressure is really going up.
stopping medication like Cymbalta cold turkey will give him more mood swings, cold sweats, headaches, and can sometimes even cause crazy things like electrical feelings "zings" etc... please tell him to start taking it again until he can get back into the doctors office %26 it will probably start making him feel better fairly quickly.

you are supposed to taper yourself off those kinds of medicines. but I would cut all salt and soda stuff that raises blood pressure. mostly salt. at least until his appointment

His blood pressure right now is more of an issue than anything else. Either way, his doctor should have seen him on an emergent basis. BTW, never, never stop taking a medication abruptly without consulting your physician first. Also, Cymbalta has may known adverse side effects.Again, ER Now.
