Can someone tell me what this bite is from?

my sister got a bite on her thumb while gardening and shesays it looks like a black dot with white all around it. she didnt get a look at the bug that bit her but wants to know what it is any ideas?

it is most likely a spider bite. watch it.. if it starts to turn red, that means the toxin is spreading... taking benedryl should help reduce the swelling... but it is a good idea to have a doc take a look at it. if it is a venemous spider bite, she can get very very sick.

I agree with the other answers. A bite or a sting. The black center is most likely a stinger left in her skin which will continue to leak venom. It could be a bee or spider of some sort. Put Cortaid on it and watch for continued signs of swelling. If there are any other symptoms like difficulty breathing or rapid heart rate, call 911.

This sounds like this is clearly the bite of the elusive devilian spindle spider. It lays in wait in cool damp places and attacks what ever comes close enough to be attacked or whoever is unlucky enough to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. The symptoms are a black dot with a characteristic white patch surrounding it. Their is usually desensitization and anastasia's affecting the nervous system. The victim demonstrates diploplia and bradycadia initially then anaphalatic shock ensues. Typically the anus swells uncontrollable until sitting becomes impossible and the victims teeth begin to taste of sulfur until they drop out neatly one by one. Typically the bite is not fatal but getting a date later in life becomes nearly impossible. It sounds like that definitely or it could just be nothing...

hiya whiskey i have too agree with the others i think it maybe a spider bite if it is a poison spider yes get her too emergency as quickliy as u can and have the doc take a very close look at it he may have some sort of toxin case that can take the bite away or he might have too treat it very carefully so do get her too a local hospital very quickly ok and thanks
